The Black Snowboard of Death

The Capita Black Snowboard of Death, or BSOD, is an all-terrain destroyer that continues to push the envelope of what a high-tech snowboard can do. This freeride board pillages powder, slays steeps, and terrorizes trees with effortless float, powerful response, and quick-turning agility. Made from only the finest materials, the Black Snowboard of Death is designed to make you a better snowboarder and push your progression on natural terrain.

It's directional shape and slight taper from nose to tail naturally sinks the tail in deeper snow and charges through any snow condition from chunder or groomers to deep powder. The Alpine V1 Profile has a large cambered zone 5cm past the inserts for unmatched power and pop, with a flat tail that provides stability during landings and a large rockered nose for float. Combined with a medium flex and a Holysheet triax fiberglass construction, the smooth and consistent flex pattern provides a predictable ride when transitioning from riding groomers to hiking up to your favorite powder stash. Two forged carbon fiber rods run from the inserts to the rocker zones to provide additional power, and Amplitex Amplifiers made from grid-woven tape reach out beyond the contact points for added response and dampness.  The Hyperdrive sintered base with a stone grind Moonshot Pro-Tune keep you blasting through any snow condition and ensures you're the fastest rider on the hill.

so sick

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I have really gained an appreciation for the Alpine V1 profile and just the right amount of taper that the BSOD has. It performs very well on the freeride end of the spectrum on a pow day, and after a few laps as things start to get choppy it transitions nicely in any condition and remains solid and powerful. Searching for stashes a day or two after a storm it’s great to lay hard carves on groomers then nimble enough to poke around in the trees in between runs. I’ve had a blast on warmer days as well and it’s a nice flex that’s just soft enough to play around on side hits and such. The base is super fast and overall the solid edge control gives you confidence to carry speed when bombing through a variety of terrain. A+ Capita!

Pocket Aces

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

This is how confident you will feel riding the BSOD in advanced technical terrain. Like you have an ace up your sleeve. Not only is the BSOD a confident big mountain charger, it is light weight and feels like a freestyle board under your feet when casually cruising to the next zone. Check the base structure from the factory, it's no joke. If you like speed, control and responsiveness, look no further. The BSOD is the best freeride board I've ridden.

Attack and Destroy

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

The 19/20 BSOD is the hard charger that a board with "death" in the name should be. This board will get you down whatever, wherever, whenever. It will win you races with your buddies. It will stomp cliffs and cut the mountain in half putting it on edge. This board is the ultimate charger board for riding those big lines and taking your riding to the next level. This is the board I choose when big storms roll through and we are getting into send mode.
