This parka has been amazing for winter beach hikes. I've been wearing it in 10*-35* weather with Great Lakes winds. It's great with one layer under it and the hood is perfect when needed. (I prefer the non fur rim on the hood so it doesn't tickle my face in the wind- and this one has a stay in it, so it can be bent to keep the shape you prefer). It's very flattering and keeps my thighs and butt warm. I also love the long cuffs- they are perfect when you don't want mittens on. I only wish it had armpit vents.
