    Worth Every Penny!

    • Size Bought: XS
    • Height: 5'3"
    • Weight: 120lbs

WOW I love this parka!! I am always cold even when I am wearing lots of layers and down jackets. BUT when I got this and went outside in 13 degree weather, I was super warm! Love the hood and how deep the pockets are.

    WARM!!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Height: 5'2"

This jacket is absolutely worth it’s price. It is so warm and has a good weight to the jacket. It kept me warm through cold Boston weather and has become my favorite winter coat.

    Very nice

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: medium
    • Height: 5'5"
    • Weight: 160lbs

Yes it is expensive but worth the price for a coat I will hope to keep for years. My north face coats lasted couple of years, if that... The quality is outstanding and the color in military green is cute. This coat runs true to size. I don't believe it runs big at all.

    The Best Parka I own

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 5'5"
    • Weight: 125lbs

After doing quite a bit of research, I decided to purchase this parka. I am so happy I did! This is, hands-down, the best parka I have ever owned. I recently wore it on a trip to Vermont. It kept me super warm, with only a long sleeve t-shirt underneath, in -15 degree Fahrenheit temperatures. I would highly recommend this parka if you are looking for something to keep you warm in sub-zero temps! The fit is a little large, however, I wanted room to layer if necessary as well as enough room to move around comfortably in.

Perfect For Biting Cold Winter Days

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

Where I live, there is a wet cold wind. Usually I want to spend my commute outside. If I feel the ground is too icy to take my bike on (one day I'll get studded tires and fix that!), I like to walk. This jacket is perfect when the temps dip past 28. Anything above 30, it gets too warm! So much easier to put this on, rather than doing a mixture of fleece and down layers or pulling out a ski jacket!

Found exactly what I was looking for!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Extra Small

I recently purchased the Canada Goose Kensington and thought that was it for me! I started having second thoughts when trying it around my house (no room to tuck your face in, the warmth factor...) I decided to return the Kensington and went for the Trillium. I have to say I'm so glad I did!! The Trillium jacket had a much better fit especially up at the neck. You can fully tuck your face in on those really cold days! and still slimming through the body. The perfect outdoor hiking the dogs jacket with a bit of style ;) For sizing reference I'm 5'4" 122 pounds and I stuck with the XS. I'm small on top so I think the size small would have been too bulky. Would highly recommend and trust me it took me weeks before I finally came to my decision!!

    THE Best

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size

This coat is like wearing a custom sleeping bag. It is so warm and cozy yet maintains a great fit and cut. I would recommend it to anyone who has been searching for a down jacket, this will be the last coat you will ever need to buy.

    Mom approves

I got this for moms Christmas present because she gets cold quite easily and this coat does the trick. She wore it around Crested Butte in 5-20 F and said she didn't feel cold at all. Fits her true to size and there is some room for a mid layer but in most cases she didn't need one.

    Love it

    Comfy Cozy

    • Size Bought: Medium

I received this coat as a gift before going to college in freezing cold Minnesota, and I have to say I absolutely love it. It is roomy enough to wear a sweater underneath, but I have to say that isn't necessary at all. I would often wear the coat over a thin shirt and be warm enough on my walk to class. The hood is extra warm and the fleece pocket are perfect for keeping your hands toasty. I'm 5'6'' and usually wear a size 8 which is a medium, but I ended up going with a large coat because I was really going for the traveling sleeping bag feel. My only complaints is the arms are kind of bulky which made getting a backpack on and off a bit cumbersome. Like others mentioned, the coat is kind of heavy if you have to carry it around but does not feel heavy while wearing it. I go to the 6th coldest college in North America, but I was never cold while wearing this jacket. It's comfy, cozy, and cute!

    Quality coat from terrible Backcountry

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs large

This coat is made exceptionally well. It's super warm and comfortable. I have a size small. I'm 5'5' and currently 128 pounds and pregnant. The midsection cinches with a tie which is perfect to accommodate a growing belly. The bust, back and arms of the coat run large... I would say they run VERY large but I have really narrow shoulders and small arms. I would prefer an XS but it is sadly out of stock. The color green is a warm olive and is a really pretty color. The hood is gigantic and will definitely block whatever weather element you are experiencing . As for the reason why backcountry is terrible... This is the 4th coat I ordered from the them. The first was a Burton coat that came dirty, the second was the same burton coat that came with trash in the pockets and drenched in cologne, the third came in new condition (YAY!) but was a terrible fit. Backcountry supposedly scheduled UPS to pick up the damaged coats from me but they have yet to arrive... hmmmm? As courtesy for my appalling experience I was suppose to receive 20% off my order.... which OF COURSE they couldn't, oh so conveniently, apply to this order. They fought me tooth and nail to even do an exchange. They wanted me to pay for this coat in full while they waited to receive the other coat back. Even though they couldn't apply the discount to this order they didn't even offer to send me a coupon code for a future purchase. SOOOOO disappointing. I'm still deciding if I will send this back due to the size issue. Regardless I definitely wont be ordering from backcountry again.

    Too heavy

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: True to size

I loved everything about this jacket except the weight. It was just too heavy. I wanted something that was going to look great - this jacket does. It is warmer that the Kensigton, the pockets are placed better to put your hands in, the hood has more fur, they are about the same length, they both have built in carry straps, but the Trillium weighs more and looks a bit bulkier on. The Trillium is approx. the same size in the hips, but roomier in the bust. I would say it runs true to size - I am 5'6 1/2" 122 34C and a small was a good fit. I am still looking for the perfect coat though. This wasn't it. Too heavy to be walking around it.

    Best Coat I've Ever Owned!!!!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs large

Wow! what a great coat!!!!! It's super warm and gorgeous. it has a lot of insulation as well as for the hands, wrists, neck...everywhere that would have some exposure. I was pretty warm in 29 degrees fahrenheit. I also get a lot of compliments. I'm totally satisfied especially because it still gives me that curvy look instead of the usual frumpy look with other coats. It is worth what I paid for. the size runs a bit bigger to cater for thicker winter clothes underneath. i'm usually a medium but the small fits perfect.
