Amazing Parka

I've used it several times
Runs large
Size Bought
6` 1"
210 lbs

My husband Loves it! Gave it to him for Christmas. He is 6'1" and about 210 and I bought him the Large. Normally he is a solid XL. But I knew from looking at the parka in the stores and other reviews to definitely size down on full size. The only thing I was worried about was the sleeve length being to shirt by sizing down, but it was absolutely fine and my husband has long arms. This parka is beyond warm!! My husbands comment was "I could have nothing on but my underwear and be warm". Of course my response was "lets not test that out, I'm not sure the neighbors would appreciate it". Worth every penny!

Great parka, but size down

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Runs large
Size Bought
5` 7"
175 lbs

Size down! I'm 5'7", 175 lbs, with a 39 chest, 33" sleeve length and 33" waist. I normally wear a Medium for coats and jackets, but bought the Expedition parka in Small due to the advisement of other reviewers. The sizing advice to size down was bang on! The Small fit perfectly, with room in the body for a heavy sweater or heavyweight fleece, but not terribly baggy in just a t-shirt or turtleneck. Sleeve length was a touch long, but very acceptable with the elastic cuffs. Overall, the fit was perfect; the Medium would have been way too big for me, especially since I usually wear only a t-shirt or turtleneck under my winter coats. If/when I get another Canada Goose jacket, I'm tempted to get a X-Small to see the fit. The quality of the Parka was first-rate! Brilliant blue in the PBI blue, outer nylon was of excellent and substantial quality. The zipper is of first-rate, heavy-duty quality; seems to be not one to separate and run up the bottom. When one puts the Expedition parka on, it has the feel of luxury and substance. The parka is definitely made for frigid weather! Went out last night in 20 degree windchill, and felt really toasty. The sleeves seem to shield the cuffs, so I was able to walk outside (only t-shirt underneath) without wearing gloves. No fear of the coming winter for me! This is my first Canada Goose purchase, and I would buy another Canada Goose product again!

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

First I bought the regular Expedition Parka in XL and it was too big so I never used it but thanks to exceptional return policy and customer service I finally exchanged it for the PBI Expedition Parka in Large. I'm 6'1 and 220 lbs with broad sholders and big chest. Large fits me fine, if needed I can use layers underneath and the arms length is perfect for me. I have only used it in temps around 15-20 degrees and it kept me toasty all the time. No cold spots so far. Outer layer seem to be tough enough to withstand some rough scrapes and does not absorb the moisture from a little snow or rain (haven't tried it in heavy snow/rain). Beats the TNF McMurdo even though this parka is a little bigger. I realise TNF is alot cheaper but I am very happy with the extra bucks spent because this is clearly a better product and suits my needs.

Small sizes appreciated!

I really want one of these jackets - the women's version is more expensive, and mens jackets are always made better and more rugged. I am going to Afghanistan again and sure hope I get one before I ship out - need a mens XS or S

Great Jacket

Very well made Canadian Jacket. I didn't wear this in cold weather because bought it last month-in fall, but seems really warm. I can't stand only 5 minutes with this hot jacket in the room temparature. The very thing you have to know is about the size. It runs 1-2 size big. I'm 6'/180lb, normally wear 44 or L in outer(I have wide shoulder and chest, long arms) but M in this jacket. Good luck with this great jacket! If you are similar size with me but normal shoulder and arms, S size will be better. Moreover, the service of is best!!!
