Where down insulation and aerobic workouts go hand in hand.

Never sacrifice warmth for freedom of movement again with the Canada Goose Men's Hybridge Lite Down Jacket. This amazing jacket weighs less than half a pound, warms you in freezing weather, and stretches with you as you reach, duck, and carve through snow, cliffs, and trees. Throw a shell on top when it's snowing out, and pack it into its sleeve pocket when the sun peaks out and you're feeling too hot on the chairlift. Sound good? Outside Magazine thought so, too, and gave it the "Editor's Choice for Best Backcountry Jacket" award.

    • Combination of feather-light 10D ripstop and stretchy Tensile-Tech fleece side paneling gives you a jacket that is lightweight and remarkably flexible
    • Insulated with 800-fill goose down to keep you warm in weather as cold as 23 degrees
    • Recycled polyester lining lets you move freely
    • Slim fit lets you layer over this jacket with a waterproof shell for extra protection on stormy ski days
    • Weighing less than half a pound, this jacket packs down into exterior left hand pocket for extended trips where space is an issue
    • Cuff bindings with thumb holes prevent snow from sliding up your sleeves
    • Zippered hand pockets and an interior mesh pocket let you store your keys and wallet securely and have a place to warm your hands
    • Two veritical strips of 3M reflective tape on back of collar
    • Item #CDG3417

Great Jacket - issues with warranty

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 5'7"

I bought a plain black Canada Goose Hybridge Jacket Jan 12, 2017 and was really satisfied with the jacket. It is comfortable, packs up super small and is perfectly warm for above freezing temperatures. While on vacation in Chicago in October of 2019, we were forced off of a foot path by some aggressive bicyclers and my jacket sleeve was ripped by a poorly maintained chain link fence. I figured I would need to patch the jacket with some down jacket repair tape, but was bummed nonetheless. While in Chicago, we stopped into the Canada Goose retail shop on Michigan Ave. My wife was looking at some Hybridge Perren jackets she had seen and wanted to try them on. While there, I asked if they sold repair tape and showed them my damaged jacket. The customer service was extremely attentive and friendly and excitedly told me that this tear would be covered by the excellent Canada Goose Lifetime Warranty and said I should simply send the jacket in. I was very surprised and relieved by this response and resolved to do so as soon as I returned home. I promptly send the jacket into their warranty department, and a week later received this reply: "Our Quality Assurance team has performed a thorough inspection of your product. The issues found with your jacket are deemed as normal wear and tear for products of this age, and are not covered under Canada Goose's warranty. In cases where we are unable to make a repair under warranty, we will often offer repairs for a nominal fee. In the case of your coat we are unable to match that shade of black cloth from our repair inventory. We will be returning your jacket to you, at our expense, within the next 10 days or upon your reply." I was crushed by this news considering the company itself advised me to send the jacket in at my own expense. As such I now understand that this warranty is not worth much and certainly should not be counted on. Also strange they couldn't repair due to not having black material?... I'm glad we delayed purchase of my wife's second Goose, as we will now be considering other brands like Patagonia with more honest and complete warranty and repair packages. I wanted to share my personal experience to help any other potential buyers of the Canada Goose brand.

    Social Appeal, Natural Disappointment

This jacket is well-recognized as a cultural icon; a symbol of status, and an icon of envy. This is obvious to many, and perhaps now the core of Canada Goose's consumer base. What the Hybridge Lite is not, however, is a serious piece of equipment to weather storms and withstand regular use. It pulls, snags, and tears on virtually all things from the expected hazards of nature to the benign seatbelt of my Range Rover (a serious threat to the athleisure crowd, let alone those who rake their own leaves). The wear and pilling on the elastic wrist-cuffs alone is disappointing after one season, and discouraging for the next.
Make no mistake; I like this jacket, and I'm glad I have it. Perfectly answering the aesthetic questions of "what do I wear around the office to intimidate the interns?" and "how should I best indicate to other people at the steakhouse that I drove over a rock or two in the parking lot to get here?"
However, to depend on midrange CG for serious dollars-to-warmth performance would be a fool's errand. For my body type (very slender) and my needs (no-BS warmth) I go back to Mammut every time. Carefully consider your needs and acquire accordingly.

    Great jacket

I ordered the Navy and loved the sheen of it. It keeps my partner warm without looking too much like a marshmallow and obviously the quality of Canada Goose its out of this world. It ran a little small for him though so I will have to return. Kind of a shame.

      Great light down jacket

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: Runs small

Love this down jacket. it's so light and warm that i can probably wear this anything above 25 degrees Fahrenheit. It's also one of the few jackets that fits your physique and doesn't just look like you just had your thanksgiving dinner. Just taking it out of the box you can see its premium quality. It is great and gives awesome flexibility due to the elastic all around your torso. Only negative is the price but if that isn't an issue this coat will definitely be worth it. size runs small so size up. i'm 5'7 155lbs and 38in chest and medium fits me perfectly.

Very Expensive / No CG Customer Service

      • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
      • Fit: Runs small

This has the potential to be a great jacket and I wanted to love it but the fit is strange. Very fitted in the torso and forearms and extremely baggy in the biceps - the fabric also gathers and bunches badly under the armpits (I'm spot on a medium size in most brands, of regular, fit build and don't have this problem with other jackets). Take a look at photos of people wearing it online and you will see this effect to varying degrees. Also the stretch fabric in the arms and sides of the body lets wind blow straight through it so you will need a shell of some kind on top. The zipper was also difficult to engage. If it was cut and made properly I'd be completely OK with the asking price but I just can't see the premium product Canada Goose is supposed to be in this garment.

Furthermore, I contacted Canada Goose about the cut of the jacket in case it was a manufacturing defect. After a week had passed I got a stock email from the warranty department telling me to provide proof of authenticity with photographs then asking me to send it to them at my expense for them to examine "from 4-6 weeks". Terrible customer service at an extremely premium price point. No thanks - back it goes. No more CG for me.

I purchased this jacket and had identical fitting issues. I am 6' 10 lbs and ordered a large. It was very tight in the armpits and uncomfortable to wear. The fabric does stretch but it is very strong and presses against the skin too hard. I would try it on somewhere before purchase to make sure it fits. I cannot return my jacket as it was on sale and 3 months ago so it will be given away.

If only all my clothes fit so well...

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: Runs small

I'm a small guy... 5'6, 36" shoulder span about 140 lbs soaking wet. Most "Men's" clothes tend to engulf me in material. This one was absolutely perfect, however, as a size small. I tell you all this as it may, perhaps, run a bit small for others. I travel every week, so this works beautifully for me. You could squeeze this into the tiniest of spaces when you don't need it, then pull out when you do. On top of that, I put it through hell, have to wash it all the time, and yet it still looks as awesome as the day I bought it a year later. Oh yea, and for being so lightweight, it's pretty darn warm, too. Definitely the jacket I use most as it works great as Fall/Spring outwear, then a an awesome mid layer for Winter.

Hi, I am 5"7 tall, 154lb , 38" net chest. Which size fit great. S or M??? Thanks

      Hey Hong,

Based on your measurements I would recommend you go with a Medium in the Hybridge Lite Down Jacket. Feel free to contact me directly with any additional questions. Kyle L. - Expert Gearhead - klivingston@backcountry.com

The center back length is listed at 28.25 inches, but does that apply to all sizes? If not, what is the center back length for small and extra small?

Why is the 10D fabric on the outside and the 30D on the inside? I prefer the lighter, smoother 10D for both exterior and shell, but if anything it seems like if a manufacturer were going to select tougher 30D fabric it would be for the exterior of the jacket. Thanks, Erik
