    Great Invest!

This coat is the best garment for really cold weather. It has been in the low teens and single digits this past week and the Citadel has kept me toasty warm. It is well made and clearly designed for this type of weather. I look forward to wearing it for many years.

    Great Parka

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 2XL

This coat is extremely well made with all the features you would expect in a premium product . I love the fleece lined hand warmer pockets. The only addition I would add is a strap on the back of the hood to adjust how far forward it can go.

    Not that warm

Just got this in the olive drab. Looks great, even being a slim fit you don’t need to size up. I’m a M on some CG regular fit parkas, and the L was too big for me, the M is fine. Backcountry was great with the size exchange. Looks are good but as usual the ruff is hit or miss, I have a bomber from them with a much nicer one, and my wife has three of their parkas and some are nicer than others. They list this as TEI4 but honestly I didn’™t find it to be that warm, it’s definitely an urban piece, you don’™t need for the weather to be -20 to wear it.

All this being said, stay away from Canada Goose’s light weight down jackets. A lodge jacket I have is fraying after just one year. Sent back to them and they say it’s normal wear and tear. Inadmissible, I have puffers that cost 5 times less what I paid for the thing and are perfect. Crappy shell on that piece

    Boyfriend loves his Citadel.

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

He's about 5'10", 150 lbs and is wearing a medium. He's a skinny guy so it looks bulky to me, but he likes the fit because it gives him room for wearing a hoody. He has it cinched in a bit so it looks less bulky.

Pockets on pockets on pockets. One pocket, two pocket. Seriously, it's pockets with a side of pockets. Canada Goose heard you liked pockets, so they put pockets in your pockets, so that way you have pockets to use alongside your pockets. To give you an idea how big the pockets are, a WiiU/PS4/Xbone case fits inside comfortably.

The bracing wire in the hood is nice. Unnecessary, but helps keep the hood fixed on windy days.

He struggles with the zipper. Mostly because he's never had a coat that is long like this one with a double zipper. He's adjusting slowly. The coat covers his bum and thighs for extra warmth and wind protection.

Overall he's very happy with his purchase. He smiles every time he puts it on because he likes it so much. It's cute. He's cute. Looks good on him. Keeps him warm. Highly suggested for those living in regions where it gets below zero and windy.

    Sizing is difficult....

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

Canada Goose is a quality product, I've been trying to get the sizing rize, but its been difficult. I'm 5'10" 195lbs and athletic build. Most of my suits are 42 chest. I bought a Medium after reading reviews and descriptions that jacket runs large. It's quite constricting unless I plan on just wearing a T-shirt. If you want a sweater underneath, I'd suggest getting a Large. I've tried the Expedition as well and the Medium definitely ran large. I will be ordering a Small Expedition and a Large Citadel to compare. Hopefully, the sizing issue is resolved. Comparing the two, I'd prefer the Expedition as it just feels more comfortable, slim cut is rather restrictive for athletic built men with broad chest and shoulders.

Where's the constriction? Is it because the chest is too tight (armpit) or is it because the sleeves are too tight? I've got a 40-inch chest with a lean muscular build, and I'm wondering whether to go with S or M.

Chest area was tight, I opted for a large Citadel. I think you should be fine w/ Medium if your slim build or athletic build w/ 40 in chest. As I mentioned before, if you plan on layering, Large is the better option.

gr8 jacket but quality worth the price?

i purchased this jacket from backcountry in january after doing extensive research on it. not too many reviews on the citadel ....... was very expensive and i was a little disappointed when i noticed down feathers coming out of the seams. you would think a 800 dollar jacket wouldn't do that so i contacted canada goose my self and they told me it was normal and is what they call the break in period where all the loose down makes its way out of the coat. i can guarantee that the old canada gooses probably didn't do that but in our day and age its very rare no matter how much money your spending to get a real top quality product. i accepted that feathers would come out here and there and moved on with my life. as for the jacket its the warmest most insulated jacket I've ever put on. a day after i received it to my luck we had a big snow storm with about 30 mph winds with real feels reaching almost -20 below zero temperatures so i thought die test it out. i could not have been more comfortable and warm i went on a 2 hour hike through my town with wearing just sweat pants snow boots hat gloves and of course the jacket. i was very impressed. the hood on this jacket has a bendable metal chord in the fur part of the hood with lets you adjust it very specifically however youde like the fur besides for style is very useful it brakes the wind from hitting your face and cathces the snow it also keeps you very warm. as for the pockets ... they are perfect and even have fleece lining to stick your hands in for extra warmth. besides for performing well in antarctic conditions its also a great everyday jacket as well. my only concern is how long it will last. ide hope at least 10 or 12 years at this price but who knows. I'm 6ft1 about 180 pounds and i got a large it fits me perfectly. my only complaint is the feathers seeping out how hard is it to sow or seal the inside seams so that not even one feather comes out?? probably a few extra bucks on there end.....

my boyfriend is about 6 feet tall and 180lbs, what size should I take for him?

    Hey Zhengying J,

If you consider your boyfriend tall and skinny I would recommend going with a Medium in the slim fit Citadel Parka although a Large will be more roomy. Both sizes will work. Feel free to contact me directly with any additional questions on anything Canada Goose.

Hi, I recently purchased a citadel in a size XS it seemed to fit perfect right length in all the right areas length of arms was perfect overall length of jacket the same, the jacket was snug close to the body which I thought was expected of a slim fit but now am having doubts as looking at the sizing charts it states I have got the jacket to small now am 5ft 8 and 150lbs, should I have got small or is the XS fine? Oh and where live I it rarely drops below -6
