Harness the power of collaboration.

Pairing the praised ergonomics of Campagnolo Ergopower shift levers with the reliable stopping force of Magura disc brakes, the H11 Ergopower Hydraulic Lever and Disc Brake Caliper Set represents Campy's foray into the world of hydraulic disc brakes with engineering support from their German friends. Campagnolo claims its new disc brakes offer greater stopping power than both of the major competitors with less hand force required, regardless of the riding conditions. This hydraulic lever and disc brake caliper set is compatible with all of Campy's mechanical-shift groups, including the likes of Super Record, Record, and Chorus.

Going beyond the coveted Italian brand's area of expertise, the H11 Ergopower Hydraulic Disc Brakes are the result of months of painstaking development and research. Since Campagnolo had no experience in this area, they enlisted the engineering help of Magura for developing early prototypes of the hydraulic master cylinder and oil flow system. The master cylinder design features a bleed port atop the vertical center for easier servicing, meaning you won't have to move the levers back and forth to shake out air bubbles. It uses a blue mineral oil similar to what Magura uses in their hydraulic disc brakes, meaning it doesn't absorb water and lubricates the entire system for reliable stopping without requiring regular bleeding of old fluid.

Through this collaboration with Magura, Campagnolo aimed to create a reliable and powerful braking system with high levels of modulation—all without disturbing the ergonomics Campy faithfuls have come to love. The result is a lever design that's only eight-millimeters taller than non-hydro Campy levers, which is less significant than the competition. Best of all, the contact area of the lever body remains virtually the same as non-hydro Ergopower levers, meaning you'll only feel a minimal difference in riding ergonomics.

The shift levers maintain the same position as the current crop of Ergopower mechanical shift levers for riding familiarity, with the shift internals being the same as what you'd find with Record non-hydro versions. What's changed is the carbon brake levers, which feature the same double curved shape, but with a revised outward bend of the lowermost lever for greater control in the drops. Campagnolo's Adjustable Modulation System (AMS) provides long and short travel position settings for adjusting the brake's leverage ratio to your particular liking. This adjustable modulation gives you the ability to fine-tune how quickly the brake moves from open to fully locked. Moreover, 16-millimeters of reach adjustment give you additional control over where your brake levers sit in relationship to your hand.

As for the brake calipers, they're designed exclusively for 160-millimeter rotors on the front, giving you the option of selecting between 140 and 160-millimeter rotor versions for the rear. Flat-mount compatibility (for both forks and frames) ditches the use of adapters, meaning you'll reap the benefits of a stiffer and cleaner attachment interface. 22mm wide pistons of phenolic resin prevent heat transfer to their organic resin pads during prolonged descents and racing scenarios where you'd normally experience a loss in braking performance.
