    Light as you could want.

The CAMP USA Tour 350 Crampons weigh a scant 24.6 ounces, which is pretty impressive considering that these 'poons feature a full step-in design. The aluminum points get the job done in firm neve, while horizontal front points reduce shearing in steep snow.
    • Aluminum construction for super low weight
    • Step-in design works with mountaineering boots and AT boots
    • Horizontal front points increase resistance in steep snow
    • Item #CMP0218

    Careful on sizing

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

Due to a sizing problem, I didn't get a chance to try these crampons out. The adjustable sizing doesn't fit my Koflach Degre boots at size US 11/EU 10.5, it's just about 1/2" too short when fully tipped out. The product description reads "One Size" and US 11 seems pretty standard. To my eye, it looks that these max out at roughly size US 10.5. Luckily, Backcountry has amazing customer service and sent me a replacement model lickety-split with a discount, free shipping.

That said, if you're looking for aluminum touring crampons and the sizing isn't an issue, these look like a pretty decent pair of crampons. Rating is based on this impression, no actual field usage.

    Careful on sizing

    Adequate but still lacked

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These crampons were adequate for my recent trip to climb Cotopaxi in Ecuador but still lacked the strength and fit I needed to comfortably climb in my Dalbello Sherpa boots. I really like how easy these things go on and off my boots, step in, click out. Pretty sweet when you have a few transitions from hard, rime and ice to smooth skiing. I was impressed with the strength of the aluminum points and the their grip in the rock hard neve on Cotopaxi. I never slipped during the climb, even when the bails didn't fit very well. I was completely surprised by how well the points held up over the course of the near six hour climb, especially considering they weight absolutely nothing. My two main complaints about this crampon is that at some point of the course of my climb on Cotopaxi, I bent the adjustable sole length bar down the middle. I was really surprised this happened because it doesn't seem like there is a lot of pressure in that part of the crampon. I'm also disappointed by the fit. These binds could fit more securely as the heel bail doesn't want to keep my boot heel firmly planted down. However, this issue isn't as bad as with other camp models. Perhaps they just are not compatible with a Dalbello Boot.

    Great skimo crampons.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These things are super. Mine even came in 10 grams under their claimed weight. For skimo use these can't be beat. Fit is great on both scarpa and dynafit skiboots, but they do not fit my mountaineering boots very well. Great for snow, neve and short sections of ice. I have done some vertical ice and mixed climbing on mine, and they work fine for that, but they will wear fast on rock, and if you are going to climb ice, there are far better crampons for the job, but these will get you up that crux, no problem. These are so light, you don't have to leave them behind when you are unsure if there will be any use for them, and you can feel so much safer when climbing that couloir which turned out to have sections of neve and/or ice.

    CAMP TOUR 350

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Great lightweight aluminum crampons that give you the extra purchase needed in firm snow or refrozen corn. So light, they are barely noticeable. Stay off rocks and these guys will last a long time. They do include a wear indicator when worn enough to need replacement. They fit securely on Dynafit TLT5 boots.

The weight for these is incorrectly listed as 24.6 oz/pair when it is actually 350g (12.6 oz)/pair. As with the naming convention for most CAMP products, the weight is right in the product title!

Do these include the anti-balling plates? Camp USA site say's yes, just see no mention of them here.
