Auto-blocking belay devices are highly recommended among avid climbers, but it's hard to belay those devices with the miniature locking carabiners that appeal to alpinists. Camp USA designed its miniaturized Orbit Locking Carabiner with a rounder basket to accommodate auto-blocking belay devices. Another recent update, the SphereLock nose minimizes play between the nose and screw gate, and its slimmer keylock nose eliminates snagging when you use the Orbit with an anchor.

Great locker especially for price

CAMP is my favorite brand of carabiner. I have never been disappointed with one of their products and this carabiner was no different. The inexpensive price might lead you to believe that you are sacrificing quality with this carabiner. That is not the case. The locking mechanism on this biner is very smooth and is much easier to do with one hand than many other lockers that I have used. It also has the same strength ratings as most other carabiners so you do not have to sacrifice that. The nose also does not catch easily on ropes or slings which makes setting up anchors a breeze with one hand. Great carabiner and would definitely purchase again.

Not using for climbing but as a track car arm restraint mounting thingy. I really like that the locking mechanism can be spun the entire length of its travel with a single motion as it is located under my seat. I'm sure it works well for climbing too!

I was done with the fidget at the anchor
The easy lock access relieves a lot of strain when cleaning an anchor. Very happy with the product. Feels sturdy.

Versatile Locker

I love these guys for a few reasons: 1. They are a great size that works great for building anchors and using on an alpine draw when I need extra security 2. works well on the auto-block in guide mode 3. the screw gate is my favorite out of any I've used - really smooth and easy to lock/unlock w/one hand.

Hey Pablo, Yup, the Orbit would work well for anchoring in. It's a good size and easy to lock/unlock with one hand.
