Built like a bull, but at only a fraction of the size the CamelBak T.O.R.O. Protector 8L Pack is ready to shield you from big hits as you blast down the trail. It combines the CamelBak hydration technology you know and love with CE Level II protection to keep you safe on the trail, letting you feel nearly invincible when you rail into banked berms and chunky rock gardens.
The T.O.R.O. Protector Pack loads you up with CamelBak's CRUX hydration reservoir, featuring quicklink technology for easy filling and cleaning, plus a faster flow rate to ensure your thirst is quenched quickly on the trail. On top of the bladder, the pack has space to stow five additional liters worth of gear, so you can keep loaded up on the tools you need, and a layer in case a storm cloud creeps over the horizon. Speaking of tools, the pack comes with integrated tool organization to keep your CO2, patch kit and multi-tool within arm's reach for quick trailside fixes. Outside you'll find the straps and buckles you need for securing your helmet and pads to the ride, so you can ditch the sweaty protection gear for the climb, but keep them easy to access before you drop back in up top.

Awesome features, Back Protector already paid off!
Bought about a month ago, typically use a CamelBak on extended ride (more than 3 miles MTB), approx, 4 rides with. Good fit, multiple adjustment points to ensure a secure fit. Back protector already paid off on a nasty tumble into a small crevasse that I misjudged! Worth that minimal added bulk of the feature! Would like to see a higher quality buckle as I can see these lasting only a few significant impacts but well see. Overall defin. recommend

Water!!
Great storage space, lots of space even with a full bladder. Sometimes I even forget I’m wearing it. Cons; Difficult to remove and replace back protection for washing.

Great Pack
I bought this item for trail riding. The pack is very functional and seems to be made well. There is plenty of room in the pack for my tools and snacks. Once in place, the pack doesn't move or bounce around like others do.

I’m invincible with this thing on
If you don’t want to hit 40’ gaps and shed 20’ drops with ease, get a fanny pack. This pack was made for the mountain biker who isn’t happy on flat trails. This pack needs rhythm sections, flow trails and scrubbing like your aunts after thanksgiving dinner. Organization is great too!

Functional
Size is good. Sent back the water bladder because b/c I assumed it would have the quick disconnect couplers allowing easy, dry removal of the lower hose. It would also be nice if you added some Mil Spec webbing on the back flap to allow larger (e.g., bike puml) carry capability.

Sweet kit..
Excellent build quality and fit. The pack is very comfortable and the pocket design allows for more storage than expected for it size. Level 2 protection ups the safety with no comfort penalty, and the Camelbak bite valve's simple design is still the best in the business.

Toro 8 is pretty great!
I have had this pack for almost a year and I am very impressed with it. Stability on the back is very good even when fully loaded with water on a hot day. Enough room for an extra tube, tools, pump(s) and a small first aid kit. Have not used the straps to secure helmet or pads but they look to be functional. Like the Crux badder. Easy to clean/rinse and dry. Love the fact that it has a built in back protector.
