You don't necessarily need to carry a ton of gear to head out on a long ride when there's no threat of bad weather. With nutrition bars providing plenty of energy and tubeless tires providing whole seasons of no-flat riding, the only things you need to carry are a phone, multi-tool, and an energy bar. Coincidentally, that's exactly what the Camelbak Lobo Hydration Backpack has room to carry—well, that and enough of water for a three-hour ride.
The Lobo's narrow profile helps prevent the pack from swinging around behind you as you cruise over rocks, roots, and other obstacles. Not only is this feature great for saving weight, but it's also less cumbersome, so you're able to maneuver through tight trails with ease. The Lobo also features an Air Director back panel that cushions and promotes airflow to keep you cool and comfy. The Lobo is also equipped with CamelBak's Crux reservoir, which delivers 20% more water per sip, ensuring you stay hydrated as you navigate rolling singletrack, slickrock, and loony downhill pursuits alike.

Bought it for trail running.
Love it however took my shirt off halfway through the run and the mesh on the back rubbed me raw. It’s not for running so no big deal. I’ll wear a shirt next time.

Great Small Hydration Pack
Nice fit, not too small or big. Just big enough to fit some personal items (wallet, cell phone, car keys, energy bar) plus a few bike repair items (tire levers, mini pump, spare inner tube). Bonus - excellent strap management.

Bladder Leakage
Overall the bag is of high quality, and the mouth valve is a great design. However, when adding water to the bladder, the lid is VERY easy to cross thread and because of the color is hard to see if it sealed correctly. So many times I have filled it up only to find it leaking out.

Does the Job Well
Over 120 miles through the Sonoran Desert on rough trail. Holds enough for 4-5 hours of hard riding. Comfortable too. If you want to carry a bunch of extras like clothes and tool it may be a bit small.

Very ergonomic
I had the first generation hydration pack and liked it, but the new models are much better!

Lobo = Great balance of utility & function
Lobo = Great balance of utility & function. Perfect amount of pockets and storage options without unnecessarily being more than I need in everyday mountain biking rides. Love the 3 liter water capacity to provide ability to ride in high Summer heat. Perfectly stores shock pump, nutrition, multi-tool, wallet, keys, cell phone, light jacket, etc. Again, just big enough to carry everything without unnecessarily weighing me down.

Does what it should and does it well!
This is my second Camelbak. My first is still going strong and I got this one only because I wanted this one's increased capacity. It works great, has great storage layout and space, and is well-made! Great for road-bikers on 50+ mile rides!

left handed people .. beware.
Got as xmas present.. mostly it is very nice and well made .. There is a problem, I'm left handed and would really like to have the option to put the magnetic retention on the left side.. but you can not as it is fixed to the right side only. I realize we are a minority but we are 10% of the population so please consider giving left handed people the option to move the retention system to the left side. Lower strap was not long enough to use with my waist size.. That said would recommend to a friend.. just not a left handed one..
