This is the first time
This is the first time using this type of lid so far they are working out pretty well. The only flaw at this time is the user and I had one leak as I didn’t get the cap screwed down all the way.

The caps are nice enough
The caps are nice enough and merit the rated review. Truly rare that we've had difficulty with one, but the seal kept falling out of the old one. It became permanently lost. Thus we bought a new cap. Maybe I could have asked customer service for just a new seal, perhaps, but the problem may not have resolved.

Easy to open, and cap
Easy to open, and cap stay back while drinking. Best part is ease to remove by just screwing it off for cleaning. I replaced two regular lids on Camelbaks that I already own with this lid.

A nice upgrade to the
A nice upgrade to the old plastic strap retention system that was always fighting to get in the way. As others have mentioned, time will tell how the plastic "hinge" area stands up to repeated use. I was able to nurse 5 or 6 years put of the old strap system, but this is such a joy to use, I won't complain if it doesn't last as long
