Sensa Climbing Shoe

The Butora Sensa Climbing Shoe has all the flexibility and comfort of a slipper, but with a downturned shape and incredibly responsive feel. Butora employed softer rubber at the midfoot to allow your foot to move and flex naturally, which increases comfort, especially on longer climbs, and added a toe cap midsole to prevent your toe from pushing past the front edge of the shoe when you're really toeing down. The heel cup is slightly rounded, with a cap for better power and durability, while the toe features softer rubber to maintain flexibility without compromising grip.

Perhaps the most unique feature of the Sensa is the upper. It's constructed from a synthetic woven knit material that is Butora's solution to the premature wear that you normally see in elastic-upper slippers. This upper is incredibly breathable, and holds its shape over time because it's woven as opposed to die cut.

  • Responsive climbing slipper for crushing your next project
  • Midfoot features softer rubber to promote natural range of movement
  • Toe cap midsole prevents toe from moving past front edge of the shoe
  • Heel cap is slightly rounded for multi-directional heel-hooking
  • Softer rubber on the toe portion of the shoe maintains flexibility
  • Knit woven upper is breathable and comfortable with just the right amount of stretch to hold its shape over time
  • Item #BTA000G

I've put it through the wringer

Breathable, great rubber and softness. Perfect for smearing and almost any route indoors and outdoors except hard heel hooks that need you to pull towards you. In that case, the shoe will just pop off your foot, as a slipper would. But otherwise amazing and go-to shoe for pretty much everything. They also look amazing with the jacquard weave. Expect greater wear and tear with rougher footwork due to the light knit construction. Sizing: Might not fit everyone. I find the top way too high volume, while the toe box is slightly narrower as compared to the wide fit Narsha. However, wearing socks fills up the space perfectly. I returned this product before using it

I'm not one of those people that leaves one star reviews just because a shoe doesn't fit my foot right. Even more so than regular shoes, there are so many factors that go into a climbing shoe working for somebody from a fit and performance perspective. Just to preface I'm only addressing the fit because they just don't work for my feet to take them climbing. Given that, I'm leaving 4 stars because if they work for your foot I think they could be a good shoe to have in your arsenal. I'm recently getting back into climbing after about a 10 year hiatus. Right now I'm just getting into the 5.10d range again indoors. I've been trying lots of different shoes and was excited to give these a try. I have a somewhat narrow foot, street shoe size 10. I read these run really small and they weren't kidding. I started with a 10 and my big toe was completely pointed down and there was no way it wouldn't be excruciating to try and climb in these. For some people they may prefer to have their shoes fit this way, I'm not one of them. I like a tight fit but I just don't see the point in having shoes this tight. I've been reading some articles that it actually doesn't improve your climbing and only leads to injuries. I went up to a size 11 and although still quite tight for the toes the shoe then became too wide and since there are no straps I wasn't able to tighten it up around the foot. If the size 10 was longer so my toes had more room I think the fit would have been pretty dialed and I could have actually tried them out at the gym. I'm curious to see how others feel about these. Peace
