    Futuristic performance for discerning riders.

Driven by the needs of 100-day-a-year riders, the Burton Men's SLX Snowboard Boot represents the pinnacle of performance within Burton's line, retaining its mid-stiff flex, high levels of cushioning, and ultra-precise fit without packing out or breaking down over the course of the season. Its futuristic Dragon Skin TPU shell reinforces the boot against rips, scratches, and premature blowouts, which is highly useful for daily riders and those earning turns in the backcountry. Other high-end features include a Vibram XWing sole for rugged resilience and grip, as well as Burton's Speed Zone lacing for quick-and-easy tightening over the upper and lower zones.

Standing out from hordes of other premium boots, the SLX's Life+ Liner is made from open-cell foam that won't break down, giving you a consistently tuned flex without it packing out or losing response. The liner's DryRide Heat Cycle lining uses interwoven, thermally activated carbon to retain extra warmth on sub-zero shred days. Other standout features remain, such as an Aegis antimicrobial coating to combat funky odors, as well as a thermo-moldable fit that eliminates nasty pressure points.

Dissipating impact from harsh landings and choppy conditions, the boot's Rebounce Cushioning surrounds the foot with a double layer of PU-plus for extra shock absorption. Dual-density cushioning along the sole features softer EVA along the instep with denser EVA along the outer edge. This allows the foot to roll inward for a more natural stance (similar to canting) that reduces stress and fatigue. Add in Sleeping Bag Reflective Foil (underneath footbed) for extra heat retention when you're riding in Arctic cold-snaps and raging snowstorms alike.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These boots are horrible. Way over priced. They feel comfortable ar first. Get them on the mountain and they are a sloppy mess. No matter how hard you pull they can not keep the foot secure. I'm an aggressive rider. Love stiff boards and boots. The speed lace system stinks. Pain in the but to ravel up the cords. I will say they're warm and that's really the only good thing I can say other than the fact they look great. I had the Solomon synapse boa before these and they're so much better. The SLX is bulky in comparison. They are very light though. The ridiculous liner has this lobster claw style Velcro that's really annoying and get in the way when putting the boot on. The pull strap on the liner is cheesy can not tighten to the tension you can pull to because the slide lock doesn't slide all the way down to where it can hold that same tension. In other words it backs off a little. I returned these and exchanged them for the newer Solomon synapse boa. Don't waste your money on these. I honestly thought that $600 they have to be good. Wrong.
