    Alpine performance plus style.

Show them you're a force to be reckoned with in skill and style with the Burton Women's Prowess Jacket. Burton equipped the Prowess with a waterproof, breathable DryRide Durashell membrane and fully taped seams to keep you dry and comfortable. Body-mapped Thermolite insulation places more warmth at your core, so you can ride longer. Sherpa fleece inside the collar and along the front zipper is soft against your skin and provides comfortable warmth. The Living Lining features breathable pores that shrink or expand to retain or release heat like automatic climate control.

A variety of fashion-forward design elements allow you to take the Prowess Jacket from the mountain to trips around town. An exaggerated drop tail adds style and protects your backside from the cold. The high collar and oversized hood block wind and snow and offer a dramatic, fashion-forward look. Oversized front pockets and a leather zipper pull provide stylish details that will have you feeling good whether you're out with friends or on your way up the lift for one more run.

    Great jacket!Amazing Pattern!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

I definitely did not need to purchase another jacket to add to my collection but the quilted pattern was too cute to pass up. The fit is great and l really liked that you could cinch the waist for a more feminine flare. The one thing I had trouble with were the thumb holes. They are a little too tight around my hands and didn't extend far enough to be comfortable under my gloves.

    LOVE!

Loooooove this jacket! I have always loved Burton!
I wear it for skiing and as a casual jacket - because it's so dang cute, especially in the green color that I have :) I really like the style of the drop tail, the jacket is a little big longer and looks really cute with my skinny snow pants.

This jacket is so warm! I wear a light base layer underneath because its so toasty. I love the fleece at the top, which doubles as a neck warmer and isn't scratchy or annoying on your face like some jackets can be which is such a bonus. Inside the phone pocket is a plastic phone case that is attached to the jacket with a stretch string. The case actually works really well, I have no problem with the touch screen at all and its nice to have the phone on a screen so no worries of dropping your phone. That was a really nice surprise feature.

Its been snowing non stop here this month and the waterproofing has totally held up on deep pow days. I have had no complaints with that at all.

It does run big, I would recommend going a size down for sure.

    Wife Loves it!

Bought this for my wife as a Christmas gift in XS. She's a tiny person (5' 2", maybe 105lbs). It fits her well but has that kinda bell shaped look that popular in snowboard jackets these days. She is someone who is always cold and said she does need an extra layer sometimes compared to her previous down insulated jacket.

Trust me you will love it

After 20 years of snowboarding I finally bought a "snowboarding" jacket. Ski jackets are just fine, but wow does this one rule them all! Day 1 - cold, storming, windy and I stayed warm, dry, comfortable, AND got multiple complements on the lifts. This jacket is functional and fashionable. Soft, flexible material. Nice weight - I run hot, and with a simple base layer this provides plenty of warmth, with pit zips when quick cooling is needed. Love the built in thumb holes that attach the sleeve to my hand, and the velcro+zip closure pockets in front are super convenient. Corduroy and waist drawstring detail for the win!

On sizing - I think this jacket runs true to size. I normally buy a small and wouldn't have purchased an XS, as I think it would too be snug. It looks a little baggy before you tie the waist string because cut is a relaxed and length longer, leaving good room for movement. Tie the waist drawstring and you're good to go. Plus the thumbholes in sleeves are just barely long enough in the small.

Only (tiny) complaint is the hood stay snug around my helmet while riding, despite having tightened the drawstrings. A small price to pay, since it works when I'm not cruising!

    I lava it!

When buying shirts I vary between XS and S. For jackets I almost always go small to account for layering. I ordered a small in this jacket. When it arrived I was a little weary in how light weight the jacket felt. It also looked like it was going to be too big, but I'm so pleased I got the small. I was able to wear a shirt and a hoodie underneath comfortably!! I've worn the jacket at least 5 times now and it gets HOT underneath.

    New Favorite Jacket!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

i LOVEEE this jacket! As if i dont have enough jackets, i had to have this one! it is the perfect length and size. Love the detail -drop tail, waist drawstrings, lined collar and there are so many pockets to fit everything you need.

    Cool look, Careful of sizing

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

This jacket is one of the coolest designs I have seen in a long time from Burton. The prowess is packed with features. The back of the jacket has a very low and dove tail cut to cover you on cold lifts and keep snow out from the inevitable powder day tomahawk. The cinch in the waist does make the bottom bell out a bit, but you don't notice when you are riding since you are tucked down. Good bit of insulation in this jacket keeps you warm and the exterior is super durable. Great jacket for the style minded consumer but does run a bit large.

    True to Size

I wish I wouldn't have listened to the other reviews and would have bought a Medium instead of a small. With the small I wasn't able to fit anything under this jacket and still be able to zip it up! Definitely not how I like to layer for winter... don't do what I did, buy the size of all your other jackets and be happy with your purchase!

    Semi

This coat is super cute. I wasn't aware that in the neck, by your face, there is like "lamb" type wool stuff that shows a little more than I like. (Personal preference) but the picture here doesn't show the way it is. Also this jacket runs very large. And has long fit which I like, but I should of bought a large instead of xl cause it's a dress.
I really do like this coat though, room for a jacket underneath and super warm with nice beer holding pockets. The draw string around the waist ties makes for a curvy look.

I bought this jacket initially in a small and because of the more loose style fit it was too big even when I tighten the waist. However, I down sized to an xs and it fits perfect! I can even wear layers underneath! Very cute jacket, I got the grey color and it was just as it looked online, and also very warm!
