    Malavita EST Snowboard Binding

Setting the bar in freestyle performance and all-day comfort, the Burton Malavita EST Snowboard Binding is a go-to choice for Burton's top freestyle riders, whether they're making their mark in the park, the city, or the backcountry. Top-shelf tech, a versatile flex, and a supremely comfortable fit make for a binding that slays everything from super pipes and big jumps to urban rails and powdery pillow lines.

A responsive baseplate provides the power and precision needed to carve icy pipe walls, launch kickers, and blast pow turns. The medium-flexing Canted Living Hinge highback is tweakable for styling out grabs and jibs, but still supportive enough to handle the biggest hits in the jump line. Heel Hammock lets you run your straps a little looser while still maintaining a responsive connection, meaning you get fast edge-to-edge transitions without squeezing the feeling out of your foot. Dual-density EVA in the AutoCANT footbed allows your boot to settle into a natural position that aligns your joints naturally, no matter the stance width or angles, to reduce fatigue and improve control, and it's supplemented with B3 Gel to absorb shock from harsh landings and minimize vibrations for a smoother ride.

Only available on this EST version of this binding, The Hinge activates medial and lateral flex for reduced fatigue and snappier ollies. The Hammockstrap ankle strap has a nylon strip running down the center that gives you a direct connection to your board at all times, meaning your board instantly responds to your every command. Plus, the asymmetric shape is reversible to allow you to choose between power or mobility. At the front, the Supergrip Capstrap 2.0 locks down your boot securely without creating pressure points, so you get a snug fit without discomfort. Double Take buckles have teeth on both sides to make clicking in faster, smoother, and more secure.

    Sweet, Well-Made Bindings

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I loved these! These are super responsive especially for freestyle bindings, really easy to adjust, and light-weight - they hit all my criteria for great snowboard bindings!

The main strap felt extremely secure, and cinched tightly, conforming well to my boot while also being comfortable (read: not cutting off circulation!) The toe strap also had a bendy nature to it. A little bit of extra material sticking out, but just a small gripe. (I wear a men's size 10 boot, and went with the Mediums).

The bindings themselves are light, powerful and strong. I find the width to be a bit much, but I'm a minimalist by nature and this wouldn't bother most.

It was also my first time using the EST channel system. I like that these bindings come in a mini-base plate - it's supposed to eliminate dead space that way!

The high backs are high quality, and pretty stiff. I didn't notice them while riding - a big plus. (Sometimes stiff high backs give my calfs cramps). Adjustable ankle straps.

Overall, sweet bindings. No big complaints!

    Sweet, Well-Made Bindings

    Best Binding on the Market.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've been riding Union Force's for the past 5 years, and had the opportunity to demo these. Look no further. Burton has really stepped up their binding game, and imo they're the best. These have incredible board feel, as the silicone like material that envelopes your boots really makes your feet feel wrapped up like a mummy despite the tightness.

With my union forces, I feel there's a threshold for when I officially feel connected with my board. Leading to my feet becoming numb from lack of blood flow, by the time I get to the bottom of the run. With these Mala's you can loosen the binding, and still feel completely connected to the board and safe. While also being able to tighten the binding even more, when about to ride some strenuous terrain.

    My favorite Burton bindings

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These bindings are my go-to Burton bindings. They are a good medium flex, 5-7 on the scale. They feel smooth and surfy in powder and also hold their own in trees and in steeper terrain. They also worked well for me in the park. I used the bindings with the Kilroy directional and felt like I was carving on a surfboard. It was a sick setup for sure!

    The One & Only

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These Malavita bindings have been insanely comfortable, their design went far with it. The best of the best feeling straps there is out there. You are strapped in and still getting the response you need for anything on the mountain. Take it through the park or some tight trees, you'll be loving the ride. Then of course a nice touch with the channel system getting the stance you want, it's silly not to go with it.

    Best Binding on the Market!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've ridden a ton of different bindings and this is the one! Burton's countless hours of R&D have made their bindings the most comfortable and best performing option on the market. The straps are more comfortable and fit on a Burton boot better than any other ones I've tried. The new toecap on this binding is extremely comfortable and doesn't slide up or down like many toecaps out there. All the components are super tough and durable - I've rarely broken anything on a Burton binding. The EST and channel mounting system is by far the best in the industry - my favorite part is that you can choose any stance width option down to under a 10th of an inch while keeping it centered on the reference stance location. You have very limited stance options on a 4-hole mounting pattern that most snowboard companies use.

I use this binding for park, powder, all mountain cruising - you name it. It excels in every category. Try it out - you will not be disappointed!

    Best bindings

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These bindings are my daily driver, they rip in everything from the park to pow. Right in the middle flex wise and are super responsive. Perfect for about every situation. They also have the best strap system in the game right now. If you're looking for a binding that does it all look no further. These bindings are also super east to adjust if you need to tweak the stance!

Great response! Do it all binding!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This binding is a bit of an upgrade from the cartel, you get much better straps and ratchets. The base-plate is also stiffer and the high-back stays at a medium flex, all this combines to max comfort and great response! If you need a binding for all-mountain riding or freestyle riding, this is it!

    Nothing Else Will Do

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have been riding the Reflex version of these bindings on my Lib Tech for a while, but I recently had the chance to check out the EST version with the Burton channel system. I was super happy with the way the channel system performed and the fact that I could adjust them down to the very last detail. I am absolutely in love with these bindings and the detail that burton put into them. The Hammockstrap for the ankle strap is an absolute dream. The binding practically hugs my boots perfectly and I have used several different brands of boots with ease in these bindings. They are super comfortable and adjustable for any situation. I think my favorite part of the binding is the hinge feature that they put into the ankle strap, makes everything so much easier by getting it out of the way.

    Super comfortable

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Got to demo these on a Skeleton key the other day and I loved them! Extremely comfortable, responsive, and everything you need in a binding if you ride a ton. EST was super nice to have a more fluid feel on the system as well. Definitely would recommend these to everyone for a good mid stiff binding that is going to treat you right.

    New favorite

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I love these things! I just upgraded from an old pair of Missions. They feel great and the responsiveness is awesome! I just placed these on my new Custom flying V and ive never been happier!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I’ve been riding2014 malavitas for the last 3 seasons and they didn’t have the rubbery strap. I figured these would be an upgrade but I was VERY surprised by how big the upgrade was.

The Malavita EST already had great boardfeel from the channel system. Now the new version has the best designed straps I’ve ever seen or ridden. Super comfy right out of the box, I’m excited to get these dialed in perfectly for my boots!

    Tried and True

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These Burton Malavita's are by far my favorite snowboarding binding I've ever used. They're reliable and easy to get in and out of. The Hammockstrap makes it a breeze strapping in and the Double Take buckles lock securely with ease. The flex is a nice medium stiffness making them a perfect binding for all around use. Give into the hype!
