Dialed for all-terrain domination.
From the lofty alpine zones of British Columbia's Rockies to the tight glades and winding creek beds of Vermont's Green Mountains, the Burton Men's Ion Boa Snowboard Boot delivers the aggressive flex and uncompromising support you've come to expect from Burton's flagship all-terrain boot. Instead of being a freeride-specific boot like Burton's Driver X, the Ion Boa lends itself to all-terrain domination with its responsive flex and low-profile feel. In fact, you'll find some of the world's best riders rocking the Ion Boa for its pow-to-park versatility, effortlessly transitioning from the steepest lines to the biggest jumps without sacrificing stability or support.
Brand new for 2018, the Ion Boa is upgraded over the standard Ion with its Dual Zone High-Power Focus Boa Coiler closure. Although a mouthful to pronounce, this closure system independently tightens the upper and lower zones with authoritative control, thanks to its Boa high power reels giving you a micro-adjustable fit to your exact riding preferences. This system differs from traditional Focus Boa Coiler systems with its re-aligned lacing, which is re-routed along the mid-foot zone to offer better support without pesky heel lift or painful pressure points. The Boa High Power reels offer greater leverage with every crank, so you're not needlessly turning them to achieve your desired tightness level. Another innovation, the laces controlled by Boa are actually a natural fiber produced by New England Ropes, giving you a more natural flex and feel than what you'd find with the competition's Boa cables.
Introduced last season for improved comfort, Outer Shell Pressure Relief Panels place soft gel cushioning where your bindings cinch down to alleviate pressure points and hot spots. The Life liner carries over from last season, bringing with it an improved fit straight from the box compared to the previous Infinite Ride liner that previously came with the Ion. This liner is highly resistant to breakdown over the course of a long season, meaning it retains its responsive feel without feeling flimsy and overly loose when you're approaching day 100 of riding well into spring months. It's hooked up with Burton's DryRide Heat Cycle lining, which is a thermally activated material that retains toasty warmth in frigid conditions.

- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Great booties. Been to Brighton several times already this season. Booties are easy to grab and get on fast. 10/10 would recommend. Boa lacing is nice and they're comfy AF.
