    King of the freeride castle.

Assert regal authority over an alpine kingdom of fresh glades, stacked pillows, and steep chutes with the Burton Men's Imperial Snowboard Boot. Fine-tuned with a highly responsive flex, the Imperial offers the stability and precise board control desired for charging down intimidating faces and tight tree runs. Taking design cues from Burton's top-flight SLX Boot, the Imperial's S4 shell panels resist breakdown for a consistent flex throughout the course of the season.

The Imprint 3 liner maintains high levels of support, ensuring a dialed fit from first chair 'til last. This thermo-moldable liner offers a truly custom fit by conforming to the shape of your foot for superb comfort. The Focus Cuff hugs the sweet spot around your ankle, preventing dreaded heel lift from sapping energy transmission to your board. For lasting freshness, the Aegis antimicrobial finish prevents the growth of funky microbes after long days on the mountain.

Looking to the boot's midsole, EST Optimized tech provides a low-profile feel for increased sensory feedback when you're driving into carves and blasting off natural drops. To compensate for the thinner midsole, B3 gel cushioning soaks up heavy landings and excess vibration from fatiguing your lower body. And because it's meant for out-of-bounds exploration, the Vibram EcoStep sole features rubber Ice Spikes for sure-footed grip across sketchy snow and treacherous terrain.

This boots are simply the best

Ive been riding for more than 20 years. Rode with so many boots as u can imagine.. Imperial are just perfect. Mid-stiff boot that kill every terrain. Responsive on carving groomers... confi on powder.... super confi after a looong day riding. I am super stoked with these boots. They are simply PERFECT. Congrats Burton for this awesome product.

      Really like these boots

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Bought these as a gift, here is what he had to say:

Really the perfect flexing boot for me, I’d rate it as midstiff, not as stiff as the ions, maybe a little stiffer than the tm2s. Crank down the speed laces when I want to do a little more hard charging, leave the upper zone a little loose if I’m riding park or just want a more playful feel. The vibram soles are also super grippy in a boot pack or just walking from the car to the lift. Having size 11.5 feet I’m a big fan of the reduced foot print of these boots, making toe drag a thing of the past. They fit my feet super well and are the comfiest boot I’ve ever owned, but that is subjective. Only reason I’m taking a star away is I prefer how easy it is to replace traditional laces, as I broke the lace for the lower zone on one of the boots and just have it tied off right now, and need to go find some paracord the same diameter so I can replace it.

      Mid-stiff feel and comfy!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

After trying out a Burton Tourists boot. I knew I had to stay with Burton for my resort boot and stick with the same stiffness. The Tourists are the Ion on steriods and I think they are stiffer than the Imperial. But that is what I was looking for, a mid-stiff boot for freestyle riding. This boot does it all, even have taken this out onto the park and performs crazy good. It took around 10 days to break in as well. They are easily becoming my favorite pair of boots. I wear a size 10.5 in my running shoes and I found a size 10 fit the best in the Imperial.

      classic boot & fit

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

If there is one thing burton does perfect its boots. Its clear the time and love they have put into making perfect boots, Not just this Ion but burtons whole like provide some of the most comfortable fits in the business. This particular boot has the perfect mid/stiff flex for any all mountain rider and its mold-able liner makes for a perfect personalized fit.

      Love Em

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've been riding these boots for about a full season now and I'm still i love with them. They're the perfect stiffness for me to enjoy them on any type of day. They're really supportive and responsive without being too harsh and I'm really liking the dual zone speed lace system.

      Such a Sick Boot!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I'm on my third pair of Imperials. These boots are amazing! They're much lighter than your average boot and have a Vibram sole, which makes them perfect for touring. I usually average about 60 days on my split and 10 days at the resort per season, so these things can endure a beating for sure! Even though they have a lighter construction, I've never had an issue with my toes getting cold on those frigid days in the backcountry. Hands down my favorite boot and if you're someone like me who spends a lot of time touring, these boots are incredible.
