Just tried these out for 3 days on the mountain, shredding all day. I actually bought both this and the regular Avalon, but chose to wear this for the gore-tex as it was snowing. The regular Avalon fits closer to the body but that's how it's advertised, while the gore-tex fits regular. Other people have mentioned problems with the buttons on the sides coming undone and the zippers unzipping, but I never once had this problem, and I'm a curvy gal. I fall often, so I was up and down, squatting and bending, and never had one button pop or a zipper drop. The two zippers on the sides made it easy to pee, so you never have to undo the straps. So easy to go to the bathroom, in and out. I never once noticed I was wearing it, which is the highest praise I can give. I had one layer of smartwool underneath as it was in the 20's (this bib is a shell) and I was crazy comfortable the entire time. Never got wet, never had snow get inside, never had to adjust anything I was wearing. It has real long legs though, but I'm not tall, and with the snowboard boots they never dragged. I also have a long torso, and was concerned it would be too short for my body, but it fit me just fine. The straps on the top would loosen just a bit by the end of the day, but never enough for it to be a problem for me. The pockets could be improved. The pocket on the chest is the only one with a zipper. the pockets at the legs in front are pretty deep but even so I just held chapstick in there. I wouldn't trust money or cards in those. The ones on the butt don't have zippers either, not trustworthy to hold anything really. All in all, I was really happy with this bib, would definitely recommend!

For a frame of reference, I am 5'4 and weigh 135 lbs. I have a thicker lower body and slimmer/shorter torso upper body. I took this snowboarding in Wyoming in -10 to 20 degree F weather. It was extremely cold outside. I wore 2 base layer leggings on the bottom and 2 base and 1 midlayer on upper, not including jacket. Now to the product. This is more true to size compared to the Burton Avalon bib, so I ordered a small. With all the layers, the bottom part felt tighter than what I prefer but I like things loose. Compared to the Bison reference picture (because I also have the color which is pretty accurate), the bottom was not as baggy looking as hers. So I would say this is true to size, but if you want it baggier, size up. The torso didn't feel long enough, even with my short torso. Even though the straps are adjustable, the fit still felt weird. If you loosened the straps to prevent the pelvic area from being too tight, the top part felt too low. The straps are also too weak. It wouldn't stay where I would keep it. The fabric was just too weak and slick to be the strap holding up the entire bib to your body. The buttons and zippers on the sides kept failing. I would have to pull up my jacket to zip them back up. It could have to do with the layers and tighter fit, or maybe they just didn't work well. But I pretty much couldn't do a squat without them failing. Again it could've been the tighter fit but who knows. I didn't notice the cold at all, so the Goretex and wind resistance did its job. But also when I'm moving I don't notice the cold, so that could be why I think that. It is not insulated. That's important to know if you have other gear that is. The bib is basically a shell, so don't rely too much on it for warmth. The fabric was breathable and light. It didn't weight me down. It didn't make weird sounds when I moved. There was a lack of pockets. There is that large zippered one on the chest which is the only one I felt comfortable using. There is 1 Velcro pocket on each butt cheek which I don't consider useful, anything can still be lost or squished. There is 1 deep fleece lined pocket on each leg that can't close. Again not useful because anything can get lost if you're moving around. Also if it's cold, you're not going to take off your gloves to put them into those pockets? I just don't trust the pockets. With any bib, it is difficult to use the bathroom, no matter how you spin it. The downside of all bibs. The straps crossing each other in the back are not permanently connected. They are held together similarly how a belt goes through a belt loop. So if you unbuckle one or both, you can expect the straps to separate, and it was a hassle trying to fix them with a bunch of winter gear on. This review could've been different if I sized up or the temperature outside was warmer. The fit was just a little too tight, but still room to move, which could've messed up with buttons/zippers, the shortness of the torso, and all the baselayers? I think the zippers still would've fallen down regardless if I sized up. They don't seem that strong. Overall, I'm satisfied with how much I paid for it (not full price) and its effectiveness. But I probably wouldn't be satisfied with it if I paid full price and using every day. I probably wouldn't use this on the mountain every day without some adjustments. And there's my story.
