Genesis X EST Snowboard Binding

The Burton Genesis X EST Snowboard Binding takes the groundbreaking tech and comfort-enhancing design of the original Genesis and cranks up the stiffness to satisfy freeride fiends. The carbon-infused baseplate amps up energy transfer for instant response when you're slashing pow in the trees, charging alpine faces, and laying into Euro-style carves. Staying true to the original Genesis, the Kickback Hammock highback uses a two-piece design that cradles the back of your boot for reduced fatigue and heightened energy transfer.

Burton's SpringBed is akin to having a trampoline underfoot, amplifying cushioning and rebound with its suspension-like design. Burton's Hinge system connects the highback to the baseplate with a dynamically flexing hinge. This allows the foot to roll laterally for loading up huge ollies, much like on a skateboard. The Hinge is a Burton exclusive, only found on Burton's upper echelon of EST bindings. Speaking of EST (Extra Sensory Tech), this baseplate design eliminates the mounting disc underfoot for better board feel and tactile feedback. It's only compatible with Burton Channel boards, as it mounts to the slot-like Channel on the outside of the binding.

Wrapping your boot in blissful comfort, the Hammockstrap is cored-out for a lightweight, boot-conforming feel. It's attached to a handy Flex Slider, which moves the ankle strap out of the way when you're stepping into the binding. Looking to the toe strap, the Supergrip Capstrap is made from an ultra-grippy material for a snug hold over the toe of your boot. Another premium feature are Double Take buckles, which feature Insta-Click for quick uptake without applying excess force.
