    Genesis EST Snowboard Binding

Setting out to create the most responsive and comfortable binding ever built, the mad scientists at Burton gave life to the Genesis EST Snowboard Binding (whether or not their experiments were done with the help of lightning and a hunch-backed assistant remain unclear). It combines anatomical design with suspension technology to deliver an incredible fit and excellent response, making it ideal for everyone from park slayers to powderhounds.

The Kickback Hammock highback uses a suspension system to cradle the back of your boot for immediate response on turns and reduced fatigue during long days. Advanced composites keep the baseplate lightweight, yet strong, and they offer a responsive feel for quick edge-to-edge transitions. SensoryBed cushioning soaks up shock from flat landings and choppy snow, and AutoCant aligns your joints in a natural position to alleviate pressure on your knees and enhance ollie power.

Only available on this EST version, The Hinge activates medial and lateral flex for reduced fatigue and easier, snappier ollies. The Hammockstrap ankle strap has a nylon strip running down the center that gives you a direct connection to your board at all times, meaning your board instantly responds to your every command. At the front, the Supergrip Capstrap locks down your boot securely without creating pressure points, so you'll never have to sweat about it slipping off mid-run. Double Take buckles have teeth on both sides to make clicking in faster and smoother, not to mention more secure.

    Smooth and Responsive

Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I only used these babies a couple times with the Burton Kilroy directional board. I had a great time on them. They felt smooth and responsive carving through trees and hitting the park at Brighton. I didn't have a chance to use them in pow.

    The Best Go-To

    Familiarity:I've used it several times

The adjustability blows me out the water, getting a nice high back and sweet perk of the channel system getting where you need to make your stance just right. Pressure point-free straps get you the amazing comfort feeling with all Burton's bindings. Though I do say with these don't have the best shock absorption you'll find in the Re:Flex, but you are getting a really great feel of the board, finding the minor movements that needs to be made. You'll be able to go far with these.

    Love These Bindings!

Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I've ridden a ton of different bindings and these are one of my top choices. Burton's countless hours of R&D have made their bindings the most comfortable and best performing option on the market. The straps are more comfortable and fit on a Burton boot better than any other ones I've tried. The new toecap on this binding is extremely comfortable and doesn't slide up or down like many toecaps out there. All the components are super tough and durable - I've rarely broken anything on a Burton binding. The EST and channel mounting system is by far the best in the industry - my favorite part is that you can choose any stance width option down to under a 10th of an inch while keeping it centered on the reference stance location. You have very limited stance options on a 4-hole mounting pattern that most snowboard companies use. I use this binding for park, powder, all mountain cruising - you name it. It excels in every category. Try it out - you will not be disappointed! *NOTE: THIS BINDING WILL ONLY WORK WITH BURTON CHANNEL SNOWBOARDS, THE RE:FLEX VERSION WILL WORK WITH ANY SNOWBOARD

    Solid Bindings

    Familiarity:I've used it several times

These bindings are super responsive while still being super comfortable. This binding is medium flex and is great for just about every aspect of riding. I think if you're looking for more of a park oriented binding I would go with the malavita, but for all mountain cruising and pow these bindings rule.

This was my first experience with the channel system. I was really impressed with the adjustability of the bindings. You can really put them wherever you want and however you want. Any changes that need to be made can be done with ease. These are a great mid-stiff binding that will keep your board on your feet and responsive.

    Great Binding!

    Familiarity:I've used it several times

I'm not the biggest fan of Burton Bindings due to the tall and stiff highback, albeit I have used some in years due to this. These have been pretty good so far and haven't bothered me as much. Maybe because I have newer boots now, but it's tolerable. Good comfort and weight, medium flex, good all-around binding.

    Comfort? Check! Response? Check!

Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I paired this binding with the 18/19 Burton Speed Date Family Tree board, Burton was nice enough to let me use this last season and this binding just screams comfort, the new toe straps are awesome as well and sit well. The Ankle straps are not even noticable when riding. Burton made this to be the most comfortable bindng in their line up, also making it responsive. I would say this is an all-mountain binding that can be used for some freeride. But if you need a binding to do it all, look no further. Mid-stiff feel and having the cant in your bindings make things really nice, also the highback are bent to match the natural posture of your stance. The EST is easy to adjust things on the fly if you need to change your stance up or set your bindings back for say a POW day. Rather than taking 8 screws out to adjust, you can loosen and slide. Super easy!
