    Own the steep and deep.

Originally developed with extensive input by Terje, the Burton Landlord Snowboard is designed to slay the steepest runs and deepest powder on the mountain, thanks to what Burton calls "Balanced Freeride Geometry." This uniquely shaped freeride board is not only set-back substantially (2.2-inches), but also features a healthy dose of tapering (17mm) and a large, rockered nose. These traits make it plane with effortless float on those epic powder days. Camber remains underfoot, keeping you in control during the steepest scenarios and high-speed runs.

Ultimately, where the Landlord differs from the vast majority of surfy, pow-orientated rides lay within its ability to carve groomers and hardpack like a less-tapered, more twin-shaped ride. This is due to the fact that Burton centered the Landlord's stance between the contact points, making it behave more like a twin on hardpack and groomers. The Landlord is also bolstered with Burton's top-shelf Dragonfly core, which uses over 500 independent laminations for incredibly lightweight performance, with strength and snap to match. 45º Carbon Highlights High Voltage add a tip-to-tail carbon layer to its fiberglass for aggressive response. Further solidifying the Landlord as a serious freeride board, its Sintered WFO base is not only extremely durable, but it's also incredibly fast, ensuring you won't bog down in waist-deep snow or fall victim to long cat tracks.

I sported the 159cm Landlord. I've ridden this board a few days, one being a straight groomer/hardpack day and the other being a powder day up at the bird. I was shocked at how well this "powder" board rode all over the mountain and on hardpack and of course, it handled real well in the powder.

Definitely noticed the 17mm of taper from the tip to tail and it was pretty fun. The narrower tail is a really sweet ride.

What makes this board $200 more than the Flight Attendent or Modified Fish, both of the same Family Tree? (See what I did there?)

I imagine it's the materials but I don't fully understand.
