Often referred to as the stiffest boot ever produced, it's no secret that the Driver X is a favorite among freeride fanatics who spend every waking moment accessing untouched snow and seriously steep terrain.

Designed with Burton's renowned Speed Zone Lacing, the Driver X allows you to quickly and easily adjust the tightness of the upper and lower areas independently. This is especially crucial when you're hiking to lines along exposed ridgelines where fumbling with traditional laces is anything but fun. There's also an internal harness to dial-in the fit on the inside, and it easily cinches shut with the slide of the lace lock for all-day support.

Loaded with Burton's top-shelf Imprint 3X liner, the Driver X offers heat-moldable customization, should you opt for a foot-conforming fit right from the box. And with Total Comfort Construction, there's no uncomfortable break-in period. The liner's Tuff Cuff increases heel hold by wrapping the ankle with medial and lateral support. Additionally, the liner is treated with an Aegis antimicrobial coating to resist the growth odor-causing microbes through the course of the season.

Additional freeride-worthy features include the thermoplastic-reinforced PowerUp Plus Tongue that increases response when you're blasting turns down steep faces. The Level 2 Molded EVA footbed cushions heavy drops and smooths out the ride in rough terrain. The sole is reinforced by an ESS Support Shank to keep your arch from collapsing when you drop huge cliffs and drops. Adding warmth on sub-zero shred days, the boot's Sleeping Bag Reflective Foil reflects body heat back to your foot for all-day warmth.
