    Love these Pants

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

I really like these pants. They have kept me warm in those 20 degree days and been decently cool in the spring with the giant "Test-I-Coo" vent open all the way. These pants are really comfortable and have held up great through plenty of crashing. I ordered a Large and wear a size 34 jean. They fit perfect with a baselayer on underneath. They are just slightly baggy but better than feeling like skinny jeans.

    Love love love these!!

I was in Montana two weeks ago and it was -6 at the summit one day and -14 at the summit another. I literally wore under armour base 2.0 and these and never got cold!! Plenty of pockets for whatever you need and these things fit like a glove. Couldn’t be happier!

Great pants and more from Backcountry

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: XL
    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 205lbs

These are great pants. Material is nice, comfortable and seems like it will last for quite a while. Nice features with a good look. I haven't used them in snow yet so I can't comment there but have tried them out in the low 20's- high teens and i was completely comfortable. The fit is great. I'm 5'10" 205lbs with an "off-season athletic"© body. I have bigger than average legs and these were still roomy enough for layering should I need to and there is an adjustable elastic strap in the waist to further adjust the fit although I didn't require it.

Lastly I would just like to address the service I received from Backcountry, just in case you're on the fence. I originally ordered a different brand of pants and they didn't fit very well and the material was not as warm as I thought it would be for my needs. I would have probably just kept the pants, never wore them and just been a little more poor and a little less happy. However right after receiving my original order, Karsyn, my "personal gearhead" reached out and introduced herself to me and to check on my satisfaction. I explained the situation and she set up a return for the pants. She then helped me select these pants, asking questions about when, where and how I would be wearing the pants. She also changed shipping for me at the last minute so the pants would arrive at my vacation destination instead of at my house. I literally cannot express how nice, understanding and just generally awesome she was. By far the best customer service I have EVER received from an online purchase and better than at least 90% of my face-to-face interactions. I can only assume Backcountry hires great people although I only have experience with the one. You can tell they genuinely care about making sure you're happy. That goes a long long way. Thanks Karsyn and thank you Backcountry.

    Color Not Quite Accurate

Pants are great, but the True Penny turned out to be way more orange to me than they looked online. I guess I should've known with a name like True Penny, but regardless, they looked more brown.

Otherwise they fit great and were really warm.

    bad a$$ pants

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: xl
    • Height: 6'3"

They pants are so sick. Super warm, super breathable and warm on cold days and cool on spring riding days. Highly recommend these!!

Great pant, but tight in the crouch

    • Size Bought: Large
    • Height: 6'2"
    • Weight: 205lbs

Great looking pant, nice features, good insulation, but when bend at the knees crouch is really tight and uncomfortable.

I'm 6'2" 205lbs 35# waist, long legs. XL was just too big all around but not as tight in crouch.
