You don't need high-level security clearance to find out the secret to staying warm and dry on the slopes this winter—just put on the Burton Men's Covert Insulated Jacket and the answer will become obvious. This jacket combines premium warmth and waterproofing with timeless style to keep you feeling as good as you look while you shred, whether you're slashing powder or lapping the park.

Dryride fabric keeps heavy snow, howling winds, and soggy slush at bay, while the Living Lining enhances breathability for airy comfort. Mapped Thermolite insulation places more insulation in the core, where you need it most, and less in the arms for uninhibited mobility. If you get too hot on a sunny spring day, open up the zippered underarm vents for instant relief. And when the powder piles up, the removable Magic Stitch waist gaiter keeps snow from infiltrating the inside of your jacket.

    • Classic style and premium performance for mid-winter days
    • Dryride 2-layer shell keeps you dry through snowstorms
    • Mapped Thermolite insulation maximizes warmth in key areas

    Great Jacket

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

This jacket has been keeping me warm this winter with just a merino baselayer underneath in the high 20's low 30's. No issues with water leaking through and the material has held up great through tons of crashing.

    Nice and Toasty

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: Large
    • Height: 5'11"
    • Weight: 190lbs

I needed a do-it-all jacket and this checked every box. It's waterproof, tons of pockets, has a powder skirt and is warm. It's actually a little too warm sometimes which is the only downside. I've used it in 20 degree blizzards and it's held it's own, but for those spring temp runs I'd ditch this for a shell in a heartbeat. But if you want a great warm jacket this is a great durable and stylish choice.

    Runs Long

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: Small
    • Height: 5'6"
    • Weight: 150lbs

In many ways I love this jacket: I've been looking for a denim-patterned snowboard jacket for a while and it has some great utility. First of all the, pockets are plentiful: three chest pockets with two where you expect with an opening from the top and another one on the left chest side that has its opening along the zipper line. The convenient part about the latter is it's perfect for storing your phone: large enough for my Plus-sized iPhone, angled for quick access without having to unzip anything on a chairlift, and simple velcro so that it's easy to reach even with snowboard gloves on. There's also a small card pocket along the powder skirt to hold your season pass or lift tickets. It zips up amazingly well around the neck to protect you from the wind.

Comfort-wise, it's pretty warm. @10°F in Breckenridge it felt just fine on its own. It's thick but it has plenty of vents to help. In arctic-like conditions (-15°F/-26.1°C), I simply put on a thick hoodie mid-layer with plenty of room to spare and my torso never got all that cold. I would not recommend it for spring riding: it's way too thick.

My only gripes with it is that
    1) it does feel kinda bulky/baggy, but that comes with the territory of being a fantastic colder-weather jacket and
    2) it runs long, just a couple inches above my knee (a 2-3 inches longer than other jackets typically run), though this would help for more powder-riding.

It's a great jacket all-around, tbh. Worth the retail price if you get the chance to do more powder days than this Texan, or if you get cold easily. Otherwise, I had to doc one star because it felt too baggy and too warm for more tastes. It's a fantastic jacket, just so close to being perfect.

    Love it

This Burton jacket is the bee's knees. It was rated the top Snowboarding jacket for 2017-2018. I bought one for my fiance and he absolutely loves it. He says it is super warm and fits great!

This is a great buy for the price. It holds up well and stays nice and warm. I don't typically go with Burton very often, but I am very happy with it!

Keeps me really warm and I like the snug fit. Overall burton is my favorite company for pants and jackets never fails to be styling and perfect for the slopes.

    Ran small in the sleeves

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

Great coat but was tight in the upper arms. Fit everywhere else but could not move in the arms and did not think that the xl would fit right in the body.

    Burton is #1

Burtons quality has no competitors! I had no problems staying warm with this on. The jacket fit snug and kept me warm throughout my boarding experience.
Overall some of the most well built pieces of snowboarding clothing I've ever purchased!

    Amazing savings , great product.

I have five children from 22-17. We live near a small ski resort and spend quite a bit of time outside. Burton makes a great product at an even better price.
