1-Wheel Stroller Kit

You want to pedal downtown to the farmers market with your kids in tow, but you’re not sure what to do with them once you arrive. Instead of strapping a stroller to the top of your trailer, get Burley’s Stroller Kit, which lets you convert your trailer into a stroller and vice versa. Attach the stroller kit’s wheel to your trailer’s hitch; once attached, this wheel flips up out of the way when you want to bike and flips down when you want to stroll with your Burley trailer. You don’t need to lug tools with you, either. Burley threw in a wrist tether for added safety when you walk or jog.
  • 1-wheel kit converts bike trailers into baby strollers

Great for the Tail Wagon

Familiarity:
I've used it several times
Fit:
True to size

My dog has 3 legs and doesn't like to go for walks in the neighborhood. I bike her around in the Tail Wagon, lock up my bike, and we can keep going. It's great. Also, the bike+wagon can be a bit of a pain sometimes for short trips, so we just use this. Works exactly as Burley said it would. Awesome.

Bike trailer to stroller in no time Flat

Familiarity:
I've used it several times
Fit:
True to size

This item is awesome. It took my bike trailer and turned it into a stroller so when I haul the kid somewhere on the bike I can quickly put it in stroller mode without any hassle. The wheel works great for pushing the kid around and then folds away when it's time to head home.

NOT WHAT IT SEEMS TO BE

Expecting to receive what the pictured showed and the description that was provided, I was extremely disappointed! My package only came with the fabric and the front wheel? When I called to ask about the other parts, I was informed that I must purchase more kits. Thankfully the company said they would provide me with a refund, which hopefully it will be completed smoothly. We shall see......

Does this kit fit a 2004 Burley Solo?

Does this kit fit a 2004 Burley Solo?

No it does not. The 2004 Solo has a round towbar, and this kit is designed to work on the square towbars that were introduced to the Solo in 2007. http://www.burley.com/shop/wpimages/trailersthroughtheyears.pdf

Does this item come with the handlebars...

Does this item come with the handlebars and the bolts and clips to attach it to the stroller? Does this wheel attachment fit the Burley Cub? Thanks, Sheila Grace

From the Burley.com website: Bike to stroll…and stroll to bike with a simple flip of a wheel. The Stroller Kit allows you to lock up your bike and stroll away...through the park or around the market and back. : Stroller wheel stays attached and folds up out of the way when cycling : Tool-free adjustment makes switching from bike to stroll mode simple : Adjustable tracking makes for consistent, easy rolling : Burley's easy-glide tow bar retracts closer to the trailer for easy maneuverability : Stroller wheel pushes easily; can also be used for jogging : Parking brake and wrist tether for added security Includes: : Stroller wheel attachment : Wrist tether COMPATIBLE WITH:d;lite ST, Solo ST, 08 LE Tiger d'lite, d'lite, 07 Lady Bug, Encore, Solo, Cub, 08 Tail Wagon and Rover, Honey Bee My burley trailer came with the handlebar orignally. I would assume that since this is a "stroller KIT" that it would come with all the parts needed to convert your trailer to a stroller - aside from the handlebar that should have originally been included with your trailer.

This item does not include the handlebars. The handlebars come installed on the Burley out of the box. If your Burley does not currently have handlebars then it is not designed to be used with the Strolling & Jogging Kits. The kit does include the stroll wheel itself and all the bolts required to install it on the bicycle towbar.

I found one review that the whell drops...

I found one review that the whell drops while in bike mode. Is this true? Does it have this or other problems? I wanted to use it for power walks.

I have read the same review, but I'm sure there would be some way to keep the wheel from doing this if it happens to be a problem with your particular kit. I'm thinking about getting this stroller kit to use as an "all-purpose" jogger/stroller/trailer to use with my d'lite stroller, and if I have the same problem as the reviewer, I'll jerryrig something to make it work. Maybe the reviewer installed it incorrectly since he had some trouble??? I'm not going to take one bad review as being "the way it is".

It's most likely this individual simply did not tighten the screw enough when he locked it into the upward position. This is not a common complaint. This kit also has a 2-year warranty, so if you find it to be defective it can be replaced.
