    Embrace your inner snow pirate.

Buff added their new ThermoNet technology to the Multifunctional Headwear piece you already know and love. Designed for cold weather activities, it delivers four times the insulation of Buff's original microfiber construction, without adding extra bulk. And of course, Buff's Multifunctional Headwear lives up to its name, so wear it as a balaclava, a neck gaiter, a headband, or a pirate cap—the opportunities are endless.

    • A multifunctional piece for high-output winter activities
    • ThermoNet fabric breathes well and wicks moisture
    • Lightweight and durable construction

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Pros: Soft, breathable, lightweight. The ThermoNet fabric is definitely warmer than a traditional buff

Cons: This Buff is tight fitting around the head and neck. I had to stretch mine out a bit for it to be comfortable under my ski helmet.

Come on, Who doesn't have a buff floating around their pack? The perfect layer to keep the sun off your face while skiing and comes in so many fun colors.

    Nice addition to Buff collection

I have (had, for years) normal Buffs, as well as wool gaiters; use them for running in New England winters - lifesavers in many ways. Read review of this one in Outside magazine and snapped it up here on BC. LOVE IT. Frivolous things first: love the pattern. Functional things next: great size, great (different from other Buffs/gaiters) soft, heavier, warm material and doesn't overheat/not breathe like fleece ones. I find it's just right on my neck (some Buffs or gaiters are too loose, others strangling), and can slip it on my head, too, and it's not too tight. Agree with another reviewer that it might be too tight to put over your chin (or nose, as I sometimes do temporarily on a seriously cold run, baklava-like). Only a few super cold runs here so far but also used it on mountain trail race in MT recently.
