    Wrap up the warmth.

Basically the top half of a sleeping bag, Brooks Range's Cloak 20 Sleeping Blanket is ideal when temps are chilly and reduced weight is coveted. Its ultralight 850-fill down insulation will keep you warm when nights are crisp, cool, and bordering on chilly, and the dual DWR and DownTec treatments repel light moisture to keep your down lofty and warm. Brooks Range also built the Cloak 20 with FlowGate baffle technology to prevent the cold spots caused by wandering down, and included a pad and foot pocket to lock \your sleeping pad in place and give your feet some extra insulation.

    Better than an invisibility cloak.

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I was trying to figure out a way to cut down some weight for some bikepacking trips, and once I found the Brooks-Range Cloak 20 I knew that was the ticket. My current sleeping bag is good, not great, so it takes up quite a bit of space and isn't crazy light. This is a great option for cutting down on some weight when you aren't worried about super cold temperatures. With summer rolling around I figured this would be perfect for the summer nights in the mountains.

I don't know why, but I really like the fact that the Cloak includes a large bag to keep it in, while also including a stuff sack. Before I was able to get out camping with the Cloak I was just using it in the house and even for that it worked great.

Even though the Cloak 20 does seem pretty thin, it has kept me plenty warm. I am a warm sleeper, so that might help, but it really does a great job.

The side and neck baffles work as intended to help keep the warm air in and I think the foot/pad pocket is genius. Such a simple thing, but it really does help keep the cloak right where you want it.

Even when in the included stuff sack, the cloak can be compressed more to fit in tighter spaces.

If you are looking for something that is lightweight to keep you warm during the night, the Brooks-Range Cloak 20 is a great way to go. I'm excited for the adventures that are sure to follow now that I have this.
