I originally bought this hat (black) for my outdoor adventures and specifically bought it for its UV protective material. I also like that it was stylish and not your typical boring hiking hat. I did measure my head with my own homemade ribbon string to get an accurate dimension and the size was spot on! I wear this hat for all occasions and ppl always complement it.

When I was in the 5th grade and got my head measured for cap and gown, that was the precise moment I realized I have a huge head...the biggest in the class in fact. Fast forward a good 25 years. I bought this hat in an XL without blinking an eye or checking the size chart after reflecting on my big head memory from the 5th grade. When the hat arrived my head was swimming in this hat, I could fit a good 3 fingers between my head and the hat. Exchanged the hat for a medium, so hopefully it will fit when it arrives. Other than that, the hat is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.....AHHHHHH-MAZING! I ordered it in the color Cypress, and the color is insanely gorgeous and looks flattering on my dark hair and pale skin. I liked the hat so much I ordered it in black also (for the record I'm not a huge hat fan, so this is a big deal). **update: the medium fits great and is loose on the head so it doesn’t leave any marks on the forehead...I could probably get away with wearing a small to have a tighter fit.
