Triglav Mountaineering Boot

Boreal named the Triglav Mountaineering Boot after the highest mountain in Slovenia and the Julian Alps because it thrives on mountains like those. It's a lightweight, breathable boot built with Dry-Line waterproofing that excels in summertime alpine conditions and winter treks at lower elevations. Underfoot, Vibram's Mulaz rubber grants traction, support, and stability over precarious scrambles leading to the summit. Boreal paid special attention to the heel by padding it in key areas to ensure a solid fit, while leaving other areas far more flexible to assure easy walking.

Excellent summer mountaineering boot

I bought these boots for the Ptarmigan Traverse in the North Cascades of Washington. It was a last minute purchase and was critical due to having automatic or "step in" crampons. I was a little nervous to bring a fresh boot on such a long journey but these boots crushed it. My counter parts were wearing similar Scarpa boots and both of them ended up having snow fall into their boot while plunge stepping. The only time my feet came out wet was on day 3 of the traverse but that was due to the amount of sweat that came with the work we put in. I never heard of this company before but their product knocked it out of the park and is on the same playing field with bigger named, more expensive brands.
