    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Had them for about 2 months in rainy season. There is a weakness at the seam that goes around the base of the boot. I spoke to three other people with the same problem. After having to spend all day with wet feet, never buying bogs again.

    Warm and Dry Boots

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I bought a pair of these for my wife for use during wet and frozen outdoor chores, and also for when hanging out around cold, winter camp sites. In past winters she has complained of her feet being cold while outdoors, and I thought trying a pair of Bogs boots would be worth it after reading about their design. So far she tells me they are excellent for doing outdoor winter chores, that they keep her feet warm and dry, and that they grip well in moderate snow and even on ice. We took our Bogs boots on a recent winter camping adventure and we both find they are a great boot around camp. The only thing I noticed about this particular outer sole is that the material is soft and does not hold up well to use on rough, rocky surfaces, which isn't much of an issue for us as they will mostly be used in the snow and ice. Fit was true to size.

    Warm boot

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size

I just gave these boots a good test: Christmas tree hunting on a 35 degree, rainy, muddy day. My feet stayed warm and dry. These may not be quite as stylish as some furry, suede boot, but I would have ruined something like that. I wiped these with a wet cloth and they look new again!

    Too tight calf

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 8 U.S.
    • Height: 5'0"
    • Weight: 162lbs

I recently purchased these boots thinking they would be great for our Chicago winter, snowy weather. They are great fitting in the toe area and move nicely when walking, however the calf area is much too snug. My calves are 15.5 inches around and they fit so snugly that they do not allow for even a legging to be worn.
So they are going back in favor a laced boot.

    See Ya Later Cold Toes!

When I was 18 my mother introduced me to Bogs. I initially bought them as a muck boot for cold mornings in the horse barn. They proved themselves well there! Super easy to clean, pull on and the best part is that they didn't stink like horse manure after you hosed them down. So when I went to college in Vermont, so did my Bogs! Over the years I had purchased a handful of different "snow" boots: Sorels, Columbia, etc. Sorels' sole froze in the cold temperatures, Columbia's were clunky and everything else just wouldn't cut it. Nothing stood up to the salt, giant deep puddles, or the freezing cold temperatures like my Bogs did. Hands down these are the best winter boot - I even prefer them to my LL.Bean boots! I'm pretty sure these boots are in their last season since the sole is worn through on the heel and they finally (FINALLY) stink like old socks. (This stinking process finally occurred after 5 years of wearing them). They keep me super dry, super warm and very comfortable. The height is perfect - they fit under jeans well and even look cute pulled up over skinny jeans. Also, on the taller version you can roll them down into the "short" version without it looking super weird / if you want to regulate your body temperature a little bit. Hands down, best boot. I don't slip, I'm warm and they're the lightest winter boot out there! (my favorite part is that they keep you warm up to -32 degrees!). I wouldn't go with any other boot! Oh and they also have a dang good warranty policy!!

Love these boots---has everything you need in a totally waterproof boot and MORE. The fit cups your foot and heel more than your average rubber boot of this type but still a comfortable feel and easy on and off. No worries about weather, water, mud, slush, snow, these boots can handle anything. I found the size to be true. I'm generally in between sizes so I opted to go up a half size and they have a little room to spare.

    BOGS are the BEST!

My first Bog purchase and I'm in LOVE! Super comfy and warm. I was nervous about what size to purchase. I read a lot reviews and was even more confused. So hopefully this will help the next shopper. I normally wear a size 8 and have a wide foot. I bought a size 9 and they are perfect. There is a little bit of wiggle room so I can wear thicker socks on those colder days. Hopefully this helps :)

      Great Boots

I bought these boots based on the reviews here. I was tired of freezing my feet while I was out shovelling snow. Not sure why but nothing I did was keeping my feet warm and that includes using those little heat inserts. I got these boots and used them during the next storm and I had warm feet!!!! Warm but not sweating feet.

They fit well, and are easy to get on and off. And, I have pretty well developed calves, so not all boots work with me.

        And the blue color rocks.

Bought These For my Mom, She loves 'em

It was My Moms Birthday, I have the Hawthorne's for men and Have bought my Nephews the classic high handles For Boys. Her Birthday is in February, She Lives in Maine. February in Maine can be the definition of "Mixed Precipitation". She loves them, They keep her dry and warm, whether its a walk through the parking lot in post blizzard slush or turning soil in the garden. Although geared for Cold weather, they breathe very well so they are useful pretty much year round.

Could I use these for snowshoeing?

Aline - you CAN use almost any shoe for snowshoeing but this boot isn't going to have much support around your foot so I think it will be pretty uncomfortable for that purpose. I'd look at something more hiking-oriented so that when you secure a snowshoe to your boot it doesn't compress the boot so much. Something like the Salomon snowtrip would be ideal:
