I’m five feet tall and bought this jacket because all the snowboarding jackets fit me like garbage bag pajamas and get in my way when ollieing or springing up during jumps. You spend more time struggling to get your knees out of the jacket than getting out of the snow. I like strapping in while standing (yoga) and have a hard time when the garbage bag jacket is over my knees down to my shins. Even xs snowboarding jackets are ridiculously large in all brands. This jacket has a body skimming fit while allowing one layer underneath and that’s all you need because it’s super warm. It doesn’t have pit vents but I unzip the outer layer and heat still leaves my body through the chest without unzipping the vest and changing my entire body temp. Merino base top and Odlo base pant in freezing temps has been the max ive had to wear. I’ve been in power in Mammoth in it which is essentially mud and the only caveat has been the sleeves which are inside the puff sleeves and made of cloth. I bought gauntlet style mittens which I hope prevent them from getting soaked next time. It’s very well thought out with a media pocket pass pocket and two side pockets that never come undone on their own. Oh and the slim fit leaves room for boobs. A freakin miracle, thank you Bogner. Leave it to ze Germans to make a stylish, waterproof, fitted, and flattering snowboarding jacket. The hood doesn’t go over my helmet without some adjusting but i don’t care for them since they just gather falling snow so I remove mine and wear a beanie. Yeah it’s expensive but with all the jackets I’ve bought and been disappointed with before finally landing on this one, I could have three!
