Boots are very comfortable and sturdy without being bulky and heavy! I love them but I got my original size and that wasn’t a good idea. I just got a return label and purchased a size up. Remember half sizes are only width not length! But overall very nice boots!!! I got the color stone Nubuck (a little more money) but it’s a gorgeous color!

I love my boots! I went half a size up (usually a 7.5 US got an 8). Stiff at first and did get a blister on the first wear, but after a few wears they broke in. Speaking of breaking, almost busted my bum on ice yesterday...and the day before. I thought these boots would be a bit more slip-proof. Note to self ✍️ avoid ✍️ ice. I haven’t tried them out on a steep hike yet. Overall cute and comfy!

Backcountry is awesome. great products and very dependable. Wife loves these boots. They are a little tight and stiff at first. but wear them a few days and they break in and now she loves them and wears them like every day.

I wanted these boots for a while, I finally bought them and they are one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. They are soooo comfy, so cute, such nice quality. I am normally an 8.5 US size so thats what I ordered and they’re perfect because I can wear thick socks with them, I think they run true to their size.

Just received these beauties & they are so comfortable right out of the box! For reference I'm a true women's 6US and based on previous reviews I ordered a half size larger for extra room to wear thick socks in the fall/winter. The only recommendation I have is to wear boot/crew socks/skinny jeans initially as the shaft of the boot rubs a little uncomfortably across the bottom calf while walking. I'm sure they will soften after more use. I ordered the rustic brown color and I can say that it is true to color based on the images on the Backcountry site. For those of you who are petite the shaft of the boot hits about an inch above the ankle. Overall, super pleased & can't wait to wear them season after season!

I'm a 9 in every other shoe and while the 9.5 US size fit fine, I'm exchanging them to size up to 10.5. I'm really hoping that takes care of the issue because I really liked them otherwise! You can tell these are well-made and will last. Loved the thick soles and the practical style. However, after 1-2 uses, the seam of the chelsea boot was killing my outer-right ankle bone, to the point that it hurt to stand in them. As other reviews have mentioned, these boots are tight on the top of your foot, I'm exchanging mine before I can break them in enough where they would be comfortable. It's a bummer that a certain degree of breaking-in is expected before they're comfy.

I’ve loved these shoes for awhile and finally invested in them! They shipped super fast and got to me in 3 days after ordering! I was sad when I tried them on and they were too small though. I ordered my usual size 7.5 and my toe was just too squished at the top. I unfortunately had to return them but will be replacing with a size 8. So I would probably recommend ordering a .5 size larger than your usual size.

I ordered the 587 boots after eyeing them for a year. I was shocked when I saw them on sale over the holiday weekend--they hardly ever get discounted! I added them to my cart instantly, and they shipped almost as fast. They arrived literally the next day. The boots are beautiful, fit perfectly, and will last forever. They are a little tight around my calf, and I have small calfs, but I imagine they will stretch out the more I wear them and take them on and off. I'll just wear tall socks as I break them in to reduce the likelihood of blisters.

These boots are really worth the hype. Comfortable on my feet from day one other than the ankle feeling a bit rigid and difficult to pull on and off but this went away after the second wear. Never have I been so intent on ruining a pair of boots I just dropped over $200 on. They feel like you could go to hell and back in these and they would suffer minor cosmetic damage. I washed my car and got soap all over them and them sprayed them with a pressure hose and they dried right away. I scuffed them up on a rocky coastal hike. I trudged through mud and they cleaned right up. All this without a single blister! I am 7.5 to an 8 (US) and I ordered the 4.5 (AUS) and they are perfect!

My very first pair of Blundies, and I love them so much! They felt great on my feet right out of the box - like they were made for me. I was a little confused about which size to order. Here is my shoe size in just about every footwear I own: US size 8.5 or 9 (most often 8.5) which translates to a size 6 UK and a 39 EUR. So I ordered a Blundstone size 6 AUS/UK - which is a US Women’s size 9/Men’s size 7. Hope this helps others who are worried about sizing.

Absolutely LOVE my Blundstone's!! I wore them all Winter long, and into the Spring, while I was living in Eastern Europe (when the snow wasn't several inches deep - though, you definitely could wear them through snow and I did). They were amazing. Such awesome, quality material, very comfortable, and so durable (I literally wore them for months straight, every day)! Love the style for fashion and function. I also really like the color (the rustic brown hid any scrapes until I had the chance to rub the boot clean again). I wore them through water puddles (though they are not waterproof) but I didn't have any issues. You'll need thicker socks for cold temperatures because they aren't made to be super warm. But with the socks, I was great. They also broke-in really easily for me. The price definitely reflects the standard. Can't recommend them enough!

These boots are so cute and comfortable! I ordered them in my regular shoe size of 8.5 and they fit perfectly. Be warned that the first time putting them on is a bit of a struggle, but they'll break in.

These are lovely boots, for sure, but I'm 5'3" and they came to a weird spot on my leg- over the ankle but not mid-calf. I found them comfortable but not to the level of being equal to the price. Probably some of the price is for durability of the product, but my Chaco boots were half the cost and just as comfy. On the positive side, they do extend the look of a shorty's legs and have a nice svelte appearance. I sent them back because for me, I didn't want to get used to or be bothered by the height of the boot. Taller folks may enjoy them more.

I have been wanting a pair of Blundies for a really long time and finally worked myself up to spend the money on a pair! They are the best boots you will ever buy. The color is absolutely fantastic and sizing is perfect. It took a few day’s to break them in but after a few days they fit perfectly! I have worn them for a couple months and they are amazing in all weather! You can dress them up and down and they still look amazing! Definitely recommend and totally worth the price!

Great versatile boot!

This is a great boot that can be worn in many different ways. I was surprised at how lightweight, yet well made they are. I wanted a boot that would be cute to wear out, but also sturdy with enough tread to withstand the snowy/icy winter. These blundstones totally fit the bill! I would recommend sizing up a half size, as they do run a bit small. Their only downfall is that while they are wide enough, (I have bunions so I need wider toe boxes) it seems to be a little tight on the top my foot. I am hoping that with more wear, they will break in a bit more.

I'm curious if your pair stretched out across the top after breaking them in? I just got a pain and LOVE them but they are also a little tight across the top arch of my foot. I'm debating if I should exchange them for a size up or not. Thank you!

Talina, I agree. I just did half a size up, but they feel a bit tight on the toes but the 9 feel way too big. Have they improved with time?

What Backcountry size correlates to Blundstone 6.5 in this boot?

Apologies for such a huge delay here. Blundstone UK / AU sizing represents 3 sizes down from US women's: So this would be a US 9 - 9.5. The 1/2 size in UK / AU for Blundstone represents more width than length, and Blundstone 6.5 can be seen more as a 9 with extra width. If someone is typically a US 9.5, without a wide foot, I would ask if they sometimes go up to a 10 or down to a 9. If they can sometimes wear a 10, then go with a Blundstone UK / AU 7. Just tried these on & the heel of the shoe has a really odd fit. There's a bit of dead space on the heel. I think the construction of the ankle part pushes my foot forward--my toes touch the top of the shoe, leaving space at the heel. Is this how the shoe is SUPPOSED to fit? Will it get better over time? Will the ankle part stretch eventually, so my heel can fit properly in the boot? I'm on the fence about returning these now. Really bummed. All the reviews said it was so comfy. Now I'm doubtful.

Should you use waterproofing/conditioning wax for this boot? If yes, could you please suggest a brand?

If you will be getting this boot wet you should waterproof/condition the boot since it is not waterproof. If you want this boot do be waterproofed/conditioned I would use this brand called Nikwax.
