Been wearing Blundstones since my first pair bought in Tasmania around '99...great footwear, can't wear out the soles. There used to be the possibility of the factory sending replacement ankle stretchy thingies but I'm not sure they do that any longer....I've found a local cobbler that'll do it. I always forget that the size on the bottom of the boot is AU/UK so my 8 is a 9 US....

First of all I am a crazy shoe, boot and sneaker person. I am super picky about style and comfort. I have to have both as I have bad knees and I enjoy style. I work in a office enviroment but live in New Englad and I am somewaht active after work and weekends. Right off the bat I can tell you sizing is off by at least one full size. I am normally a 9 1/2-10 and I tried pretty much everything in between and I eneded up going with a 9 on these. I still have plenty of room for thicker socks and if Iwear regular dress socks I will have some heel slip and extra room in the toe box which is pretty common from what I have read. I could have gone with an 81/2 but they were a bit to snugh for my liking and could never wear them with a thicker sock. I live in New England so thick socks in the winter is a must. The Blundstone 550 is more comfirtable than pretty much every other shoe and boot I currenlty own other than my Nike Free. There is no pressure felt anywhere on my foot and the sole is like a foam cusion. I went back and forth for a while and since Ihad such a tough time with sizing I almost gave up but decided one last try after watching some youtube videos on Blundstone Contruction. With some boots I would feel pressure on the top of my foot and with some I would feel like they were sloppy. It took some trial and error but I finally figured it out.

Fantastic boot with great longevity. The sizing may run a tad bit large, so if you don't have the chance to try them on before purchasing, it might be worth sizing down half a size from your normal number. With a timeless design, waterproof construction, and awesome durability, these are a no brainer for a fall boot that can cross over from the city to the woods.

I wear a size 12 US. My feet are on the wide size. I got brown/ olive and could not be happier with the look and fit . The boots are very light and the soft leather forms to your feet.

Love these boots. They are super comfortable, look great, and are durable for all types of wear. They are a slip on so inherently do not fit as snug as a lace up, as well, the leather will stretch out a bit as it forms to your foot, meaning they just get more comfortable as you wear them more and they break in. Easily treatable with leather grease to enhance water resistance. I have done short hikes, long winter walks on slushy streets, and just all other casual wear and I am very impressed. One of my favorite pieces of footwear. Fit true to size.

Perfect from Day 1

Seems like most boots require a couple weeks or more before I feel like they're comfortable enough to afford 5 stars. Not the case with these at all. The Super 550 is comfortable right out of the box. I own a ridiculous number of shoes, and the Super 550 very well might be the best of the bunch. I ordered a full size down. I'm normally an 11 in most shoes, 10.5 in most boots, 10 in red wings. I ordered a US 10, UK 9 and the fit is perfect.

Not sure why so many reviews are all over for sizing. I purchased a 10.5 expecting it to be roomy based on other reviews, as my normal street shoe is an 11 and my active wear shoes are usually an 11.5. I should have gone with an 11 and will really need time to break these in. They are fairly snug. Other than that I am happy with them.

However, the boot slipped past quality control and was shipped with the interior stitching unraveling. It was a very obvious defect and should have never shipped. Now I have to pay for the return label.

These are a slip on boot and may not be up to the demands of long walks / hikes (over 1.5 miles). This slip on feature also means they do not fit very snugly. That being said, I find them very comfortable heading out in the snow on the way to work and they have become my favorite winter casual boot around town. They do stretch out a little after a couple weeks of wear but the extra insole provided makes up for that room. For longer walks, I pair these with a Superfeet insole.

Great everyday winter boot

Bought these as a gift for my brother in law. After seeing him slip and slide around Main St. in Park City during dinner outings when he visits we finally decided to buy him a proper pair of winter shoes. These look good and have amazing traction. Highly recommend!

I initially started looking at Blundstone to fill the black boot void in my closet and I'm quite glad I did. The Super 550 was originally intended as a working boot and I feel it'll stand the test of time. I sized down to accommodate a breaking in period, though honestly these boots don't really need it. Initially I went with a 9.5, but exchanged for a 9 and found my size. They'll accommodate everything but a thick sock without my feet feeling like they're swimming around. Durability and traction are on-point, my minor gripe is the quality of leather chosen vs. others in this category. For reference, I wear a 9.5 in Red Wing Classic Mocs, 9.5 in Asolo, 10.5 in Vans and most other street shoes. Size down for best results.

I have had these boots for almost a year, and with proper care I'm fairly certain they will last a lifetime! I did replace the insoles with something a little more comfortable, they were not horribly uncomfortable, but after awhile I decided to upgrade them.

I bought these as a gift for my boyfriend, he loves them so far! They are super comfortable, and versatile boots. I purchased his regular size- 11 - and they fit mostly true to size, with a little extra room (in a good way). The boots come with extra insoles that add just a little bit more cushion to the footbed, and make the foot slightly more snug in the boot. Definitely a solid, classic, durable boot to add to your wardrobe.

The Blundstone 550's are a great every-day mountain shoe and casual wear. I had to pair them with some after market soles as the instep isn't too supported. The fresh leather is stiff, pretty, and offers all around support for any downtown walking our back woods jaunt I decide to take them on.
