So light !

Love how light it is when I use alot during whistler! It doesn't fold fit in backpack but still retractable. The paint scrap off very easily but actually looks very cool . Bright green is great for safety too. Highly recommended if want lightweight pole yet strong

Disappointed

Lock doesn’t hold. Strap comes off easily, and does not go back together without creative engineering. Grip is minimal, insufficient for me. Hard to justify the expense.

Need or want

This was a want purchase and I have no regrets. These are the lightest poles I’ve carried and I love the foam grips. I have the older carbon poles and didn’t think they could get much lighter, I was wrong. The reviews about the paint are right , it chips off easily but I don’t care so much about looks as performance. The wrist straps were easy to take off but I had to figure it out. There are no directions for that process. Love love love these, definitely worth it.

Vapor Carbon 2

I like the changes in the new Carbon Vapor 2 from my previous all Carbon poles. I like the longer foam handle, sturdier flint lock mechanism and light weight. As usual, solid simple gear! Cheers Terry

ok poles but...

Ok, after 20 years out of albinism, a group of us ole timers planned a Rainier trip. In preparation, I bought these poles and did a few practice hikes. Big problems: 1) I had gained so much weight my pack didn't fit 2) nor did my gore-tex, 2) my knees and foot hurt so much it was nearly unbearable 3) much lesser folks pasted me with ease and kept asking if I was too hot or needed a rescue. As for the poles, the did not help me lose weight, and my wife and I still argue about watching YouTube videos of the Disappointment Clever at training. Anyway, yeah the poles, well they are hiking poles so in no possible way do they replace marriage therapy, fitness, sobriety, or moral values. But guys, please, please remember climbing is the source; it’s more than having fun. The poles are fine. Have some guts and publish this review.

The adjustments worked great even

The adjustments worked great even when in -25. The numbers are already chipping off after one expedition

They're so light

These are really light. I haven't used them on the mountain yet but from adjusting them and adding the powder baskets I can tell these are the same quality as my last pair of BD poles

Light but bad straps

Love the poles. Getting hands into the straps is an ordeal; not a fan of that.
