    Uncut White Gold Pure Chalk

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I like this chalk because it sticks well to my hands. I've used other chalk that immediately falls off. Overall good chalk that does that job, but do wish it would stay on a little longer. I find myself reapplying often.

    good in my limited experience

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I used one bag of this chalk so far and have been really pleased with it. I am not a chalk snob though and have not had a lot of experience with different chalks in my little over a year of experience climbing. No complaints!

    Not Frictionlabs

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The above title is to signify that you'll be paying less for exactly the same product; it is, after all, bought as a raw material and when black diamond says "uncut" they are advertising the same characteristics that frictionlabs asks you pay 3x more for. suit yourself, waste your money if you think it helps, we all know placebo does a great job.

For the rest of us, buy BD white gold, it works fine.

    Good gym chalk

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Been using this chalk for the last couple of weeks. I have found it to be excellent for climbing in my local rock gym. I do recommend taking care of your hands with moisturizers as this product will dry your hands out pretty well. No issues with lost grip due to sweat. Definitely worth the purchase!

    Basically the Sriracha of chalk...

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Which means it's good on everything!! Tiny crimps, fat slopers, sketchy pinches, and maybe even that weird rash on your thigh..... Don't ask me bro, you should probaly see a doctor or something. As a few other folks noted, it could stay on the hands a little longer, and I tend to feel like a "chronic overchalker" sometimes on longer routes. But I should probably just whine less and climb faster.

    Stay Gold, Ponyboy, Stay Gold

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is some pretty great stuff. No additives - just good ol magnesium carbonate - and it's super cheap. It's a loose chalk that's easy to break up into chunks, and I like how fine it is. A big draw is that it does tend to wear/rub off pretty easily if your hands aren't sweating up a storm - one long climbing problem and it feels like you're reapplying mascara between swim laps.

    Decent Chalk

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I like the chalk, but I wish it would stay on my hands longer. I have to replace it very often, especially when my hands start to sweat a little bit. A friend used my chalk and said that it doesn't stick very long. Other than the need to reapply often, i love it.

    Awesome Chalk

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have been using this chalk for a while now and always find myself buying it again when I run out. I absolutely love this chalk. Keeps the hands dry and definitely does the job!

    Excellent Choice

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

When it comes to loose chalk, this is an excellent choice in my opinion. It sticks to the hands well and keeps them dry for hold after hold. I have tried a handful of different chalks and still Black Diamond has always been my go-to. Great quality chalk for a reasonable price.

    Chunky

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Awesome chalk, can't complain! Comes in a resealable bag for easy storage until it's dumped into you're chalk bags. Nice loose chalk that breaks down easily and coats the hands well. I've used it for all my climbing activities and its yet to disappoint. Also cheaper then most chalk. Grab a big baggie of it and enjoy!

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

    Works for me!

I like that its uncut and I can break up the chalk to my preferred consistency. I was previously using chalk shots and simply did not get the same coverage that I get from loose chalk.

    Not much to compare to

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I have limited experience with chalk so far but I think this is pretty good stuff. Some of the chunks are a little hard to break up initially but not a real problem. It stays on as good as any other chalk I have used. You do have to rub it in pretty good for the first application or it will wipe off pretty easily.

Its chalk, but nothing to chalk about.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I must be a chalk snob, because I noticed how much I didn't like this chalk first dip into my Mad Rock chalk pot (the only Mad Rock product worth anything). I assumed all Calcium carbonate was created equal, but it's just not so. It feels nice and chunky, but with any moisture in the air at all it rubs clear before touching a hold. Halfway through your project you'll be thinking you forgot to chalk at all.

    It gets the job done

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Great loose chalk option that keeps my hands from getting clammy when my feet start to sweet. Can't beat the bulk bag option if you climb on a frequent basis and loose chalk it really nice for bouldering. When I'm on lead I like to pour the chalk into a sock and keep it relatively consolidated so my belay partner doesn't chock on the loose flakes.
