Great poles!
I have two sets of Traverse poles now. I got these to help support my effort to ski every month for the year. Very reassuring to have a way to self arrest when im on slippery slushy mountains.

Should be packaged with the whippet
Good poles, would be better if packaged with the whippets.

Solid poles.
I have used the same BD probe ski poles for the past 20 years. Bought these guys for some spring couloirs with the whippet attachment. These are lighter and seem more rigid than the old ones. Easy flick lock, and the baskets are designed to drag less in the snow, work well turning the risers too.

Terrific Poles
Had many brands of poles in the past but these are the best pair I've ever owned. Thank you, Black diamond for a fantastic product.

Awesome ski pole.
Super light, and robust. Will use in the summer as a trekking pole as well. 10/10 would recommend.

Almost perfect
The ski poles have been awesome. I have used these for downhill, touring, and XC At 6'2'', they are just long enough for classic XC at 140cm maxed out. They are quite robust, clips haven't slipped and the handles/straps are comfortable. The only complaint I have, and it's hardly a complaint, is I wish they broke down into a shorter pole for packing in my bag. They are quite long.

Awesome poles!
Top quality with solid locking mechanisms! I'm liking the fact I can attach a BD whippet as needed.

Excellent
My third pair of BD poles. Solid construction and well balanced with a whippet attachment.

Light!
These poles feel nice and light while skinning or skinning. It was tough to snap the basket all the way on, but once I got it on with a hammer they stayed on. The mechanism for adjusting length, too, needs to be very tight. Otherwise you’ll ski off with only the top of your pole like I have a few times.

Love the removable whippet
I used to have a 1-piece whippet pole that I'd take on certain objectives, but always had to think about it before leaving the car, then deal with having a pick on my pole all day. Now there's no question. I use these pole and the whippet head lives in my pocket. The grip placement is great and with the silicone handle partway down the shaft, I never have to adjust the pole length. 2-pc design shrinks down plenty small. I'll recommend these to anyone, even if you don't what a whippet....yet.
