Great Poles

They are not the lightest but they adjust and lock nicely. They are super sturdy and the straps function great and safely.

Great poles

I love these poles. They are light, well balanced, easy to adjust and strong. There is nothing more that I need in a backcountry ski Pole. Highly recommended!!!

I like the new latches

I'm still waiting for some snow to give these a try, but I like the new latches a lot, and they seem just fine in all other ways. It's a little non-obvious about the lock and unlock for adjusting the wrist straps, but not difficult one you understand that you actually flip the tap all the way around to go from unlocked to locked. I also found that putting a little wax on the threads to put on the baskets, and using as much downward pressure (with the handle on the floor) as I could finally got the baskets on. I don't mind that it was a bit hard, there's no chance they'll come off accidentally, but if you don't have much arm strength you may need some help putting the baskets on.

Great lightweight touring poles

The grips are comfortable, the locking mechanism works well, and they are almost as light as my pair of 6 year old carbon poles.

Lost baskets....

I couldn’t figure out from the directions how exactly I should put the baskets on. I guessed and thought I had done it correctly but lost both of the baskets on my first tour.

Good quality

These live up to the BD quality standard, but I was surprised by the length of the two piece pole. They are likely way too long to safely pack while split boarding which is what I bought them for. It’s too bad BD doesn’t make a 3 piece 155cm pole. The photo is how the fit in my avy bag fully collapsed. They will likely work for back country skiers just fine but too long for splitboarders.

Excellent ski poles with versatility

I have really enjoyed these poles for skiing. I like being able to quickly adjust to length depending on the type of run I am skiing. Experts would say the correct length for poles for me would be 125 cm. But I shorten the poles to about 117-119 cm for groomers so the poles don't drag as well as it forces me to bend my knees more. Then I can quickly lengthen the poles to 128-130 cm for steep narrow chutes that require pole plants for effective jump turns. These poles are light weight, sturdy, and versatile. Great product at a reasonable price.

Perfect for my needs

I was looking for replacement to my 15 y/o 3 section adjustable poles. I debated a fair amount about 2 vs 3 section poles and whether I wanted/needed a whippet ready pole. Decided on the Traverse Pro as I use them primarily for ski patrol duties. After a few weeks of use, the poles work as expected. Easy to adjust with the Flicklock which stays put once set. The SwitchRelease released once - when I was using skis and poles to mark the scene of an incident. Minor opportunity is that the webbing of the hand straps “feels” like low quality material. Obviously it does not hamper function. I am 5’10” and purchased the 145 length pole.
