Canyoneering

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought this device to be my canyoneering do it all device! Static blocks, and rappelling mainly. Its lightweight and from a company I know I can always trust with technical gear like this. I am a bit worried about my rope fitting through double stranded for a static block but we'll see, I can use it to rappel if so.

great device for the price.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought this to ease up the wear and tear on my atc's when repelling. This device gets the job done. Super light, solid construction, by a manufacturer that you can trust.
The capability says it's good up to 11mm single line. I've had trouble on double lines at 9.8mm, so that's something to think about as well.

Certainly

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Although I am new to climbing, I would consider this to be a respectable piece of equipment. It is a little bit bigger than I expected but this is good, as it is very easy to run rope through.
