- Q & A
Good quality/ pretty warm.
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I like these. They are warm but not exceptionally warm like my Mountain Hardwear Absolute Zero down mitts. But, they aren't designed for mountaineering.
But GREAT for the money. A bit bulky. Plenty warm for skiing and hiking in the teens. Very well made.
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I got these after my wife got the mercury mittens last year, and my hands were cold below 10 degrees F or so. I have been stuck on peaks and chairlifts at -20 with windchill and my fingers are still just fine in these awesome gloves. The inner fleece liner is really thick, its got a lot of loft and texture, they take up a crazy amount of room in a pack for a pair of mitts, however they're worth every bit. When I first got them I dunked them in a sink full of water for a minute to see if I felt anything, not a drop. The liner is easy to take out for drying, and the shell is useful for warmer days.
I've spent twice as much on gloves that weren't nearly as great as these. They're durable, dexterous, comfortable and most of all WARM.
