Shame on you for even selling these
After 2-3 hours of attempted assembly, stripping the backing plate, breaking off the screws that were too short, getting replacement screws sent to me. and then it still didn't work. I finally bought skins from a different company, missing 3 weeks of prime ski season.

No instruction and bad design
Absolutely the worst instruction in terms of how to put it together

Broke within a handful of trips
Horrible design flaw. The "wires come out of the rectangular piece with the BD logo. After reading the reviews it seems this is a common issue. I am a big BD fan but these tip loops are reason enough to avoid BD skins.

Wildly Disappointing
As with many other reviewers, I have also owned BD skins for years. The old wire tip loop was amazing and bomber. These broke almost immediately, and I have zero faith that my replacement won’t also break instantly. A friend made the jaded statement that the old tip loop couldn’t be branded. I guess these are made for photos and not for actual use. Really really disappointing.

terrible design
this new tip design is terrible. I broke both tips in less than a dozen trips. completely worthless. It really deserves no stars. the old cable style is far superior. i've use black diamond skins for years, but will not purchase another set unless this issue is fixed.

Spare parts for some 12 year old Ascensions
East coast BC tours do some damage to equipment…reality check. Bought these, along with the tail clip kit for some insurance for my 12 year old BD ascension skins. These bomber skins have taken me up peaks in Chile, Iceland, Argentina, and around the States too, but are finally wearing out. Hope that these will keep ‘em going for another few years. Wow. Just wow.

Old design was better
Please go back to the old design. I broke these within ten days of use. The metal wire came out of the big center piece. These are heavier and fit worse than the old ones.

Please bring back the old screws
I want to preface my review by stating that I am a former ski tech who has trimmed hundreds of sets of BD skins. The new hex-key screws are terrible. They make it SO much harder to install the tip loops than before. Very few people have a torx or hex but small enough to use a drill with these, which is critical for shop techs trimming lots of skins in a day. Even just doing one pair of these is a significant time waste with the new screws.

Great skin tip loops.
These are my go-to tip loops for when I break the loops from other brands. They're super easy to mount, and include all the right hardware. The break-away screws included for mounting make the process seamless... unlike other brands that use hammer-in rivets that are really easy to screw up.

These tips are awful
These skin tips broke on the 3rd trip out. Ski kept catching and tripping on the skin attachment while skinning and then the tip attachment eventually broke. The old design was much more streamlined and did not catch. Why the change?
