    Bring on the icy steeps.

Designed with versatility in mind, the Black Diamond Serac Clip Crampon is ideal for moderate climbs and glacial travel. This 12-point crampon bites into icy slopes and resists snowballing with dual ABS plates. The Serac’s strong front points climb like a champ while the secondary points optimize stability. Use this crampon's clip attachment system with any pair of rigid-soled mountaineering boots that have 3/4-inch heel welts, and adjust the length easily with the curved link bars.

    Nice

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've used them a couple times in the ecuadorian Andes and they are just great, however I think they will be not enough for alpine climbing when things get too technical. I bought them for a very good price so no complaints whatsoever.
UPDATE: i've been to some technical climbings and they worked perfect.

    Great Crampons

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought these to use with my 3 season moutaineering boots and any early season backpacking trips. I have the Scarpa Triolets and Salewa Rapace boot and they fit both perfectly. I have a size 11/ 11.5 and I still have a couple of holes left on my flex bar. I would say you should be fine with a size 12 (depending on what boot) before needing a longer bar.

Feel free to reach directly out to me with any questions on these crampons or anything else at all!
