Black Diamond's RockLock Twistlock Carabiner automatically locks after you set the belay for your climbing partner. That means no more looking down and noticing an unlocked gate after you told your partner to climb on. Black Diamond also designed this locker with a keylock nose for snag-free unclipping, a curved spine for a larger gate opening, and a square hinge to hold your belay device in place.

Love the TwistLock

Familiarity:: I've put it through the wringer

I was a ropes course instructor for years and was always a big fan of any twist lock / auto lock carabiners. I primarily use this now with whitewater kayaking as a way to attach my rescue throw bag and dry sack to my kayak. I have never had any issues other than dropping them to the bottom of a river occasionally.
