Loose clasps & tips fell off. Make sure to carry your allen wrench with you!
When they work, these poles are so fun to ski with -- super light weight. Great for trekking/telemarking. However, 2nd day skiing and one of the height adjustment clasps loosened and the pole kept collapsing on every pivot (not what you want to happen when you're in the backcountry). I was able to remedy it later by tightening a small bolt but I fear it'll happen again. 4th day skiing and the entire tip (not just the basket) fell off. I went to pivot and the entire pole sunk into the snow. Had to spend another day skiing without poles :( It's possible I got a lemon, but I'm going to return these nonetheless since I've had such bad luck after just a few days of use and expected better for the price point.

Great feel, great performance, great product
These were a replacement for a previous generation of the same/similar pole that was borrowed and not returned by my partner. The previous generation lasted about ten year of at least 30 days per year of hard use. That is a great product.

Sadly my pole snapped yesterday
I loved these poles until it snapped yesterday while doing a small jump. Wondering if it was worth the cost? Maybe that’s what happens with carbon poles.

Light, stiff and solid
So far these are great poles. They are nice and light, really stiff and the locking mechanism is solid. Very happy with them. The powder baskets are a bit small but can be swapped out easily.

Good poles, but not replacement for the Pure Carbon
I'm coming to these from a older pair of Pure Carbon poles, so my review highlights the differences. These poles are light, which is a key feature for touring and for downhill skiing. They have certain amount of suppleness and spring that my old Pure Carbons did not. They are a millimeter or two smaller in diameter, too. I prefer something a bit stiffer, but these have worked well thus far. I have also used them for ski touring and hiking. I'm wondering about their long-term durability, but time will tell. Also, the aluminum uppers seem like a liability, but I trust Black Diamond's judgement on that material choice. I like the breakaway straps, though I have not had one break away yet. I wish these poles came with extended grips, or even the small rubber grips as on the Pure Carbons. This is an essential for touring work and should be standard equipment for a top-of-the line pole. Will have to look at aftermarket options.

Balanced
There is no better pole swing weight out there. I used to only use them while touring, but the balance is so nice I just used them all the time now.

Sick poles
Best poles I’ve had for years. Finally had to replace last pair I had after 4 years. Flick lock improved but same pole profile. Skipowski!

Great all round pole
I used these for ski patrolling, tele & alpine downhill, and uphill skinning with my teles. Overall a lightweight, durable, all round pole. I love the "old school" straps which I have been using for 50+ years!
