Be quick on the draw.
Seconds and ounces count in the backcountry, and you can't leave a probe
behind just to save weight and time, so make the Black Diamond
QuickDraw Carbon 240 Probe part of your kit. This carbon probe weights just eight ounces, making it the lightest probe in Black Diamond's lineup. It deploys in seconds using Black Diamond's one-pull QuickDraw system. The alloy tip is wider than the probe shaft to improve probing sensitivity, and the high-vis markings aid in your snowpack analysis.

This pole does its job. Its nice and lightweight, yet sturdy. I like the locking feature when its all assembled.
Easy
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Lightweight, but sturdy and easy to use. Upgraded from older Orthovox probe to lighten backpack. Would purchase again.
Full confidence

This is an awesome probe that I am stoked about. It is super light weight and is high quality. It is a little thicker than other probes, which I like. It pulls together and breaks down easily. I really like having the centimeter markings on it as well. Highly suggest this probe!

The QuickDraw probe is the bomb! Light as a feather and the assembly is incredibly quick. The large number markings are great for viz as well.

Super lightweight and easy to use... can't say much more than that from a probe!
What's the collapsed length?
Hey Lauren,
It's going to be about 18 inches long when collapsed.
