    Best of both gates.

Black Diamond's PosiWire Quickdraw combines the Positron's snag-free carabiner for the bolt and a light HotWire carabiner for your climbing rope. The HotWire has an open-angled nose so you can clip your rope quickly, and the Positron has a keylock nose so the carabiner doesn't snag on bolts while cleaning. Black Diamond placed a StraightJacket retainer on the durable dogbone to stabilize the HotWire for even easier clipping.

    Durable and smooth

PosiWires are phenomenal. The duel gate is awesome. Makes clipping bolts easy on the straight gate and the rope smooth on the wire gate. They spent a rough summer season being slug around and dropped from steep routes in the Red, and I trust them just as much as the day I bought them.

      Bomber Draws

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I fairly recently got into lead climbing and needed a set of new quickdraws. This fit the profile really well. For a new lead climber, these draws are relatively cheap, easy to use, pretty comfortable, and safe. The solid gate could use a bit of detailing to conform to fingers better, but they are satisfactory for the newbie lead climber.

If you're a fresh bumblie looking for some bomber draws that dont break the bank, these are your guys.

      BD PosiWire Quickdraws

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I have used these a few times and really like them. They are not overly heavy, I love the color combination, and they're easy to clip.

      Functional, and pretty

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I own a rack of these and have been sport climbing with them a few times. They aren't overly heavy and the top keylock biner is easy to clip bolts with. My only complaint is that there is a lot of wiggle room for the top biner when it sits in the dogbone. I own the 18cm draws, perhaps it's less on the 12cm. Other than that, these are some solid draws.
