    The Wizard of Ounce.

Like the name suggests, Black Diamond's Oz Carabiner only weighs an ounce, and it still boasts more climbing convenience than other ultralight wire biners. HoodWire technology places a hood over the gate's hook to prevent snagging on bolts, stoppers, and ropes.

    Light and Easy

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These carabiners are great for year round use plus they combine the functionality of a wire gate with the convenience of a key nose carabiner. And if you didn't notice these things are incredibly light! As they sit they are only .2oz heavier than the Nano from CAMP or the Metolius Minis. For me the extra weight is worth the increased convenience.

    Great, lightweight carabiner.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These are great lightweight carabiners, and I have begun to really love the hoodwire design as it prevents ropes from getting caught on the lip of the carabiner that can happen with a standard wiregate. The only drawback I've experienced with this carabiner is with the hoodwire and fat lip on the carabiner it sometimes cannot, and or has trouble fitting in some of the holes on old pitons.

    Perfect Trad Carabiner

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love these carabiners. I use them for racking and trad draws. They are light weight, not too expensive, have a snag free nose and are easy to clip. Everything you want out of your racking carabiner.

    Pretty good racking biner

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I use these as racking miners on my cams. They are obviously very light, and the no snag nose is pretty great. The one gripe I have is the combination of a small biner and a very stiff gate make for quite the difficult clip. I find other light miners such as the camp photon, dmm phantom, and others easier to clip than the oz.
