Basic is best

Lightweight, strong, cheap, works great, what else do you need? A no B.S. nut tool for those who don’t care about all the frilly gimmicks. You’ll be grabbing this old classic in a pinch every time your latest and greatest torque wrench/clip on/ palm cushioned/laser etched/bottle opening designer multi tool fails you and breaks mid route and leaves you with your nuts in a bind! When you’re old, crippled with arthritis and sitting back telling the young punks you’re embellished stories of yesteryear. You’ll look over to your worn out, thrashed antique rack and this will be the nut tool which survives and still remains attached to your harness.

Good First Option

Does what it is supposed to do, but I don’t like that they made the handling end a bottle opener versus putting a gate on it so you don’t have to bring another carabiner with you.

It's a nut tool

Does the job, it's light weight and fits into those cracks good.

As Advertised

An absolutely essential piece of gear for those pesky peices of pro that your climbing partner jammed too far, especially after taking a fall or two. Only reason I gave a 7 is because I regret not buying the self clipping nut tool.

light and effective

I have only used it a few times but it's been a huge help, would be silly to be placing Nuts without it. The wire gate one is probably the way to go just cause of ease of use but other than that no complaints.

Just a nut tool

I would like to better understand the design of this tool. The original leper nut tool was the best !

It works

Solid nut tool; I've never had an issue getting a piece out and thought another tool could do it better. A little annoying that you need a carabiner to attach it to your harness, and having a leash would be nice. The bottle opener end is a nice touch though.

Great piece of gear.

I have had this nut tool since 2000. It has worked great for 17 years and does the job it is designed to.
