Momentum Vegan Climbing Shoe

Black Diamond made the Women's Momentum Vegan Climbing Shoe without any animal products. Instead of a leather upper, the Momentum Vegan uses Black Diamond's Engineered Knit Technology for enhanced breathability that doesn't hinder overall breathability, and underfoot has a hemp footbed instead of a leather. Another big difference between the Momentum Vegan and the original Momentum is that Black Diamond didn't use glue adhesive from animal bones. Apart from that, this shoe sports the same beginner-friendly shape as the original. The NeoFriction rubber sole is also unique in that it’s molded—as opposed to the usual cutting from one sheet of rubber—to the shoe in order to increase longevity and ensure traction on greasy, plastic footholds.

I love black diamond. And was excited to get a vegan pair of climb shoes. I can?t even get one toe in they're so small. I?m 5.5 usually. And I would probably have to get at least a 7. They?re the size of a young child?s shoe. Don?t waste your time on these ones.

Beyond Bad

I bought these from Black Diamond, not back country. But the shoes are so incredibly bad, I had to review here. When unboxing, the first thing I noticed was the disgusting construction. There is glue coming out of every seam. The shoes are unbelievably stiff. Putting them on, the back dug hard into my ankle. I tried with socks and a bag, but they are completely unbearable. & they aren't overly-tight, so it's not a fit issue. They are just beyond poorly made. I was really excited for these, because they looked so pretty in the pictures, & I'm a huge fan of Vegan Suede.
