Keep up the pace.
You're getting the hang of climbing quicker than you thought, and as nice as it is to feel the sweat of your rental harness's previous occupant, the Black Diamond Men's Momentum Harness is a cleaner alternative. This is Black Diamond's best-selling harness—not just for the price point—due to its versatility in the vertical realm. It's on the comfier side of Black Diamond's massive harness collection, appealing to both beginners at the gym and advanced climbers hanging on multi-pitches alike. It's fully adjustable to ensure a secure fit whether you're wearing summer or winter attire. - Q & A
Worked great for canyoneering
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I got this harness for canyoneering in Zion. It was comfortable for several long repels and to wear for hours at a time going through slot canyons. It rubbed between my legs and made a weird sound when wet, but that's the only complaint. For the price (I got it on sale) it's hard to beat.
When I started climbing this was my first harness and have loved and used ever since. My friends always seem to complain about their harnesses not be comfortable but i could never relate because this is a very comfy one! Recommend!
Nothing can beat reliability
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I've climbed in the Momentum harness as long as I've been climbing. The gear loops are sturdy, the attachment point in the rear is excellent for chalk bags or walk-down shoes- it's a no frills, get 'er done type harness with everything you need for a great day of indoor or outdoor sport. I wouldn't recommend racking this up with your trad gear, as 4 loops aren't quite enough for all your nuts, cams or whatever else you may have on your rack. There is a package option available for this harness and if you are new, I recommend picking up the package deal with this harness.
